"It's not the biggest, fastest, best looking or most luxurious 7 pass SUV, but it's good at all these things. Our decision came down to the GMC Acadia or the MDX. The Acadia just feels too big to drive. The MDX is much sportier. While the MDX's 3rd row is less useful, we seldom use the 3rd row."

"We purchased this vehicle about 1 month ago and I'm loving my new MDX. My last car was a 4Runner with no bells or whistles. When we walked into the dealership and sat in the MDX we were sold immediately. This SUV has class and style, it's comfortable and has lots of power. The fuel economy could be a little better compared to some of the other SUV's in it's class but this car is definitely worth every penny. Keep up the great work ACURA!"

Better gas mileage than expected

"I have had the MDX for a month now, and took mt first road test from Cincinnati to Niagara Falls. Surprise! We got 24 mpg on the hwy, averaging 70 mph. Was not expecting this. I wonder if Acura/Honda tweaked the engine mid year to achieve this? Compared this to the Pilot and was worried about the gas mileage. Price was the same (acura base vs Pilot touring). Handles exceptionally well and can't believe the performance. Tough choice vs the two. Strengths: Performance, handling. comfort. Weakness: Very little room in 3rd seat, but workable."

Excellant but needs more mpg with regular gas

"I did exhaustive research on SUV's before I purchased this one new. Has 30,000 mi on city and hwy driving. Vehical is great except for the gas mileage. If it got 24-26 hwy it would be a winner. Also needs to use regular instead of premimum fuel. Reliability is good but dealers are too expensive on service charges. I expect good relability out of any new car and consumer reports reported several low cost SUV's with good reliability."

"Well for an SUV its got class, power, comfortable roomy interior and great tech features. It struggles with the fuel economy but still decent in its class. The vehicle is rated highly reliable, great for families. I'm a recent owner but as far as I can say, I've been satisfied thus far. I bough it after several months of research. With great market reputation and resale value, I don't think anyone can go wrong with this one."

"i have had this car for almost a year now, i love everything about it. it has the capacity to hold 7 people( granted it is a little tight, more suitable for children). the only thing that i found i did not like about this car was all the technology it has!! center dash has a lot of buttons, but once you get used to it, it become easier to use. the ride is very smooth and i have use it for long distant trips and it is very comfortable to ride in. i would recommend getting the heated and cooled seats in the second row if you live up north. i have the technology package which i would also recommend getting. i do not have the rear seat entertainment, because my kids have iPods/ipads to watch movies on. holds its value. i also got a great deal, but if i sold it now, i could get within a few thousand of my purchase price(which is saying a lot for a "used" car) i have about 5,500 miles on the car now, and i plan to keep it for a very long time."

"This is the 3rd MDX we've owned and the 2012 is, by far, the best yet. The biggest improvement is the 6 speed transmission which was my biggest dislike from our 2009 MDX. While the exterior has only changed slightly, the interior refinements are really nice like the LED interior lighting, hard drive for your personal music and other light things. While the MDX Tech / Entertainment package we have isn't cheap, we know what we're getting. In the 10 years we've owned the MDX's, we've never had a single mechanical or electrical issue. Can't ask for anything more!"

"My wife and I love our new mdx. Very sporty and very luxurious inside. Handles great. Space is what we were looking for than going to a bigger suv. Every acura seems to be loaded and you don't have to puchase an upgrade which we liked. So happy car shopping."

"We've only owned it for a month, but so far we really like our new MDX. We got the Advance package, which is loaded with all the bells and whistles, and it really is quite a step up from our (beloved but old) 2004 Honda Pilot. We are still learning how to use all the electronic voice command features, etc, but the driving experience is great. More car-like in its handling than most SUVs."
