"I bought my A4 Quattro automatic brand new in 1997, and have about 115k miles on it so far. I've had no major repairs. The only things I've had to fix have been: (1) the cd changer - obviously not Audi's fault - had to be replaced twice because it skipped, (2) the motor for the driver's seat went around 80k, and (3) many many brake rotors :c) I'm definitely NOT going OEM with the next rotors. I love this car, and I look forward to driving it for the next 100k miles. It's aging very gracefully and showing no outward signs of wear or tear. I've been good about the maintenance, but not fanatic. If you can find a good deal on one, take it."

"Let's start with the good things. The interior is as good as it gets, it is not flashy very functional. The exterior styling is also understated and timeless. The car is heavy but handles well particularly at high speed cornering. The stability control does a good job, particularly during hard breaking. The 1.8T engine is not the fastest of the line but come to life around 3000 rpm. Alltogether, with 17 inch wheels it is a entertaining ride. The upkeep is going to cost you a lot. But so far I didn't have any major problems. Get a mechanic that knows what he is doing and doesn't charge an arm and a leg and you'll be fine."
