"Great features, extremely comfortable car, superb performance. I drove this car on icy roads with bald tires and was passing everyone. It handled better than any other car I have driven. It has its issues with reliability but when it's running the way it should, this car's features are nothing short of spectacular. Super comfortable, perfect interstate car."

"I love my 2003 Audi A4 3.0 Qautro. The performance is great, it is comfortable, and surprisingly good on gas. Be ready to shell out some cash when it comes time to perform major maintenance. I feel that is was well worth it though because a well maintained Audi will treat you well for miles to come. The only down side so far is the lack of cup holders. The one in the dash is horrible and drinks tip. The others in the arm rest are fine, but the arm rest gets in the way of my elbow when shifting. If you 6'4" you will probably have this problem with any car though. Overall- I love it."

"I own a 2003 Audi A4 1.8T cabriolet with 95k miles on it, and so far I haven't had any problems with it. It's been great. It drives smooth, its beautiful, and it has some really cool features for an older car. Like, the three layer soft top has had no leaks and the automatic button is nice. The seats are automatic, heated, and have lumbar support which is nice when you have a bad back. The Auto-Man transmission is helpful when I want a little extra boost. And I have been really impressed. of course it is a little difficult to find gas sometimes because it requires a min. of 91 octane, and most stations these days carry up to 89-90. But the higher octane means better performance and is better for the car over time. Also the maintenance can be a little pricey (like most german cars) but the performance is worth it. Another thing is the back seats and trunk are rather small, but thats expected for a coupe convertible. But so far the best part for me about the car is the gas milage. I was pleasantly surprised by the avg of 28 mpg in the city and upper 30's on the hw (benefit of getting an I4 with a turbo). Which is alot more than what is listed on the car.com research page about this car. overall: If you want a fun, safe, high performance car that (if taken care of) will last you close to 300k miles, and you can afford to keep up with maintenance, and you dont need much backseat room....than this car is for you!"

"I have had my A4 for over a month now and absolutely love it! I bought it used with 70000 miles on it. I've put 5000 on it so far with no problems at all. This was the car that I always wanted. I traded in a 2004 VW Touareg V8 for this car. Loved the VW but the gas mileage was getting a bit much. The interior is very classy and refined, just like the Touareg. I have always liked this particular generation of the A4, it's very handsome, aged well and looks great. I think the Avant wagon looks a bit racier than the sedan, which looks a bit too boxy in the rear. I've done my homework with this car. It's well known that the 1.8 Turbo 4 is nothing but problems. They crammed a Turbo 4 into the engine bay and it just runs SUPER HOT all the time. Timing belts are very expensive to replace at more than $1000 a pop, no thank you! That's why I chose the 3.0 V6. More power with a smoother ride. Mileage takes a hit but thats fine with me. I guess that's why it is very hard to locate the V6 Avants, they are proven to be much more reliable than the Turbo 4 Avants. I'm very happy with this car and plan on keeping it for many years."

"Car is 2003 Audi Avant A4 Sport TDi. Would not buy unless fsh Audi or good specialist(half the price of Audi)good blend of economy(recent 800 mile trip on full tank about 56mpg) fully loaded up.Everything works together well although steering needs more feedback, suspension harsh in sport form but upside is safe secure handling.Long life service due (120K) cost for this £185.00(including original parts) cambelt would be £285.00 so reasonable."

"This is by far the absolute worst car I have ever owned. I bought it used and it has been one thing after another with this poor excuse for a german engineered car. From the moment I got it there has been issues from recalls to check engine lights all of the time. Audi doesn't back their product at all, a 100k mile timing belt gets recalled and they pay for the inspection but not the fix, 2000 down the drain. Front end bushings out after 30k miles along with the oil pump 2 windows that stopped working and now I have a catalytic converter that is going out and of course the warranty is not covering it. I bought it to have a sports car with all wheel drive and while the car did handle ok in the snow the ride is stiff, the seats aren't comfortable, and the power isn't even close to what BMW offers. Do yourself a big favor and stay a long way from Audi, they just don't get it."

"I bought used Audi and when I saw it first time it was awesome. And that's about it. In he first week I had to put $2,000 just for making sure that it's not gonna stop on the road. The windows stopped working after couple weeks, so I paid $800 to repair them. Then couple bulbs burned, month later spark plugs and wires had to be replaced for $150, two months later another window broke ($200), I had to buy steering wheel fluid for $30 for 1L, and now some switches on the dash don't work, so finally i sold the car, because I've had enough bills to pay for it. Maybe new Audis are good but never buy used audi, because it's never ending expense. Buy something else for that money and don't waste your time on Audi. At least I learned that from now I will buy anything else, but not audi."

"If the back window seal comes loose the whole top has to be replaced for $4650 according to the audi manufactory. I have looked online and in my opinion it appears to be a common problem that audi denies. Here is a break down of the high mantenance I am aware of first hand within 28,000 miles of ownership. Faulty blinker $400 3 break jobs $1,100 (normal according to the Dealership. They start throwing break dust on your rims imeadiatly. Battery $185 (Installed I invite you to find the measurements to get that batery out yourself. Replace 7 clutches $2450. The extended warranty did cover this but The Dealership said I needed to replace the transmission filter for $420 I declined.Yes the word filter and $420 in the same sentence. Power stearing fluid $30 instead of 3. It went throungh about a quart a winter due to the carbin bubbeling over. The Dealership said nothing was wrong with the power stering. On average it cost me $240 a month on the waranty and repair alone for this car. That is without fixing the window seal are changing the the filter. Knowing that me and no member of my family will never own a AUDI is priceless."
