Vehicle Overview

The four-seat A5 coupe and Cabriolet convertible are aimed at fellow two-door luxury models such as the BMW 4 Series, Cadillac CTS and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.     Wonderful Car

    I drove Mustangs for many years, and was reluctant to switch over to the Audi, but I have never regretted it. The car is comfortable, quiet, and elegant. I am happy whenever I drive it. And the upkeep has been surprisingly reasonable. It is a wonderful car and I plan to buy Audi convertibles from now on.

    Purchased from Motorcars of Lansing. First mistake

    This car was falsely advertised. Listing started it had navigation and my sales rep, Randy said it only needed a new disc to get it working and I have it in writing he was going to order it in for me. I called after three weeks and he said sorry, there isn’t any navigation. Now, the engine light is on, taking it to an authorized Audi dealer. Audi has larger interior than my old mustang convertible, that’s nice.

    Very Very happy with the vehicle

    Most Beautiful Car I've Owned

    The styling of the A5 is superior to those in it's class. After test driving the BMW and Mercedes, the Audi A5 was the most comfortable. The handling and cornering was fantastic - better than any other car I've driven. We've only owned it a few weeks so can't attest to the reliability yet but we had a 2011 A5 and it never let us down.

    smooth, beautiful, fun and reliable.

    I owned it for few years and it is smooth! it handles beautifully and pulls effortlessly. very comfortable to drive short and very long distances. I drove it to Arizona from Bay Area for 11 hours straight and it was comfortable and truly delightful. The styling is very appealing and the curves are in the right places. the black on black made it just complete. The AWD Quattro system never failed me in the rain no matter how slippery the roads were.

    Priced any cheaper, the consumer would be stealing

    4 cylinder is faster and better exploding speed from a dead start then most high performance V8's. Incredible car for the price. Best bang for the bucks.

    A lot of car for your money compared to others

    I currently own a 2014 A5 Cabriolet Premium Plus 2.0T in Shariz Red (plumish burgundy) with a chestnut brown top and chestnut leather seats. I purchased it in 2016 and at the time it had slightly over 18k miles. Currently I have about 44k miles on it now in July 2019. I give this car 5 stars overall. The car is beautiful and designed nicely. Only con is the dash is hard plastic vs the nice cushion "leather like" dash I had on my 2005 A4 3.0 Convertible. Also the door panels inside have that same plastic feel and since mine are black, it shows finger smudges...so if I have any residue on my fingers, it gets transferred onto the textured grain like plastic. Armour All gets it clean and nice looking but it is still a nuisance. I do have the sports package option which allows me to drive in sport mode vs comfort and the ability to use my paddle shifters which I rarely do (I'm a 54 year old female lol). Having an overhead reading light built into the convertible top for back seat passengers is genius, it has come in handy many times. Also another great feature is that the rear back of the seats can fold down for loading or to extend the trunk. That is RARE for a convertible. If you can, get the convertible and get AT LEAST the Premium Plus model. The cost is more, but you also get more. You NEED seat warmers! If you are blessed to get one with vented seats too (they are in the S5) I envy you! Imo the sport package, at least for my year, is not worth the extra expense. The only option I admire about it is that it included my 19 inch rims, which I appreciate. Changing the driving mode on my car, using the paddle shifters or extending my seat out for my knees are not that important to me. Lol. Yes it is fun to pep it up a bit, but you can only do so much with a 4 cyl. I'm also not trying to work my little engine out to the max either! Lol. So far I only had 2 issues with it and that was the oil pressure sensor went out. The dash oil light started flashing. I had oil in the engine however I had the car towed directly to Audi. It was still under warranty. After that my right headlight went out. $900! My new car warranty was 3 weeks out and my extended warranty did not cover headlamps but Audi was gracious and did not charge me. No other issues other then recalls which are covered by Audi. I do recommend buying an extended warranty RIGHT BEFORE your new car warranty expires so you get full benefits of both warranties. Do not buy aftermarket, I dont care HOW much less it is. It is NOT worth it. Too much red tape trying to get things covered or having to pay for part of the repair due to their guidelines! Get yours FROM AUDI and make sure it IS Audi and not a 3rd party. Call around at different Audis, they all have different pricing and will many times beat another Audi dealers price. Just make sure to buy right before your new car warranty expires. If you do not, the extended warranty will kick in immediately and you wont have the new car warranty anymore, so you will cheat yourself out of the remaining time left on the new car warranty. If you are buying a preloved Audi with no warranty left, go to Audi and purchase one. IF something goes wrong with your car, you will be covered! Repairs are expensive! Luckily I have NOT had to use my warranty other theh the two times i mentioned.

    Most reliable car Ive ever owned

    Ive owned this car for 3 years now. It is the best car to own if you want sport and luxury in your drive. Own an Audi A5 yourself, never regret

    Early impressions are very favorable

    I have always driven cars with manual transmissions, beginning with my Saab in 1977. Most recently, I have a 2011 VW Eos but have always admired the appearance of the A5 and thought I might get one in the future. Then I noticed that Audi was phasing out manual transmissions for 2019 and began a search for a used A5. I was lucky to find one at a local dealer with about 30,000 miles and in excellent condition so it was a Certified Pre-Owned car. I have had it for a month and am really enjoying its 6-speed manual transmission and its many other features. It is a great car for two people but the back seat is pretty cramped, especially in regards to foot room. But for me...everything I wanted for much less than a new one would have cost.

    Great car, fun fun fun

    I loved driving this car - everyone should have a convertible! It's good on gas, so comfortable, hugs the road well and has great pick-up.

    Most fun car I have owned

    Great vehicle. A real head turner. Beautiful lines and fun to drive. Whether the top is up or down, it really performs, especially on the back roads.

    Amazing quality

    I love everything about this car. The quality is astounding. I burn E85/Ethanol. While my mileage isn't as great as gasoline, the performance is impressive and the cost is a nice savings. I'm especially picky about details like quality paintwork, leather, etc., and this car does NOT disappoint. Buy it if you're single or coupled, but not if you expect to transport kids, grandkids or pets. The back seat is practically useless, so plan accordingly.
