Awesome !

Don't listen to the GTR lover review, he hasn't a clue, just can't afford the R8 so settles for a GTR. My ecu was flashed with the v10 plus tune, will smoke almost anything out there, (including GTR's and Ferrari's) haven't lost a race yet and is a wonderful daily driver.

A true driver's car.

I have the V10 R8 coupe in silver. This is an excellent sports car and is true value for the money. The handling is superb as are the brakes and the overall balance of the car is confidence inspiring. I have have had other well known sports cars (the usual suspects) and most are high maintenance nightmares. The R8 is a highly engineered car best suited to be driven by drivers who know how to drive fast and who know how to get the most out of the machinery. If you want a high performance and not too common on the road sports car, get this. I have no regrets - I love mine.

Lots of Hype, Doesn't Deliver

I was looking for a track car and compared the Audi R8 V-10 to a Nissan GTR, Corvette ZR1 and Ferrari F430. The Audi is easily dead last. For almost 150k this car fails to deliver in any category. Performance wise, it's slower than the other 3 cars and looks like an overgrown Audi TT. When I went to the Audi dealer, I had the salesman turn on the lights and immediately noticed that the right side LED lights were already burned out! For that to happen to a 150k car is just laughable. Now when I see these R8's on the street, about 50% have a burnt out LED headlight. The worst thing is that the driver doesn't even realize that it's burnt out and thinks people are admiring his car when they're actually making fun of it. If you want to spend 150k on a sports car at least get the Ferrari. Better performance and style. Or spend 80k on a GTR that will beat an Audi R8 V10 on any track in any weather.

Unbelievable car....

Audi R8 V10 - an unbelievably drivable and exhilerating car... performance range is mind boggling - driver friendly when you're just driving around town and downright scary fast if you take it to the track. I spent the extra money for the V10 and I'm glad I did - the extra HP gives it supercar get up and go. The best part is the stares that this car gets driving down the road - exotic looks for a fraction of the cost...
