Consumer Reviews
"BEAUTIFUL CAR!!! Wish the gas milage was better. Doesn't have back-up sensors. Not sure about the Run-Flat tires that BMW now installs on almost all their vehicles. Oh Well, I still LOVE my new BMW!"

"I own a 2011 3238i xdrive and an Infinity G35 Coupe (2005). Not a direct comparison, but one that should be made. First and foremost the BMW is much more quiet at idle and on the highway. I switch back and forth between the cars when commuting and the differences do stand out. The beemer has a better ride, but probably due to the G"s sport car background, thus tighter suspension. The BMW makes the driver feel clumsy when operating its electronic options whereas the G's option controls are instantly intuitive and simple in operation. (I have I drive). The G has far more power (which I'm sure the 335i would correct) and an exhaust note that is plain old sexy. My BMW's interior is far superior to my G's which feels really engulfed in plastic. Handling wise its a dead heat with my personal edge going to the G. Reliability wise, well, lets put it this way......since buying my G in 2005 its been to the dealer for warranty work not even once. Outside oil changes and a recall for an airbag issue, the only time I see the dealer is for basic maintenance. Conversely, my beemer which I bought new in 2010 has already been in for warranty work 3 times. Once for a broken I drive joystick. Once for a faulty a/c compressor. Once for a non functioning cup holder and faulty abs light. It is now due for another warranty call as the navigation will not work. Not encouraging to say the least. A good thing at least is that BMW covers all the basic maintenance for the first 4 years. Bottom line, the 328i is a great vehicle, and I love it to death. Its functional in an every day drivers sense, fun to drive and looks great. However, to claim it as the ultimate driving machine is a joke. I think I'll give an M series a try in a few years."

"2011 328xi. They say once you drive a BMW you'll never want to own anything else. I agree so far! The balance between Handling, Power, and the Interactive feel this car delivers is simply incredible. Overall quality is amazing. Options make all these BMW's very $$$. So, I recommend getting only base models BMW's and add only options you must have, stay away from the packages for the best Value. Vehicles like ACURA, and Lexus have all of the luxury features standard, but simply can't imitate the BMW exeperience. This is definately a NICHE brand so take it for what it is. I can't wait to hop in the car every day and smile."

"I love this sports car package and hard top tri-fold rooftop of this BMW convertible. The highway road noise is minmal and all the digital features of automatic lights, windshield wipers, moving headlights and more! This is a real highway machine that drives smoothly and does not require constant attention to details like changing your high beams to low beam lighting."

"This is my second 3 series. I traded in my 335 coupe for a 328 sedan M Sport. The lower power and torque is very noticeable but thats what happens when you lose two turbos. I wish it had more power but truthfully it has plenty for its purpose. Steering and response is amazing. I feel all I have to do is think it and the car responds exactly how I want. This is a Sports Sedan people so of course it may feel tighter than you hoped. BMW builds cars for people who like to drive and feel one with the machine. If youw ant a cusion ride go back a Cadilac. If you are a driving enthusiast than BMW is for you. The car handles better than anything I have driven, even sports cars, and this thing stops in a controlled hurry when you need it to. Interior I find pleasant and mine has every option they could cram in a BMW. I love the easy to use and very informative Nav, the upgraded Digistal Harmon/Kardon Surround sound is AMAZING!! This thing sounds better than a theatre and is probably my favorite option since I do a lot of driving. The notes are clear, the bass smooth crisp, and I have yet to have any osrt of problem with any genre of music. The moonroof is smooth and so quiet that I forget I have it haha. The leather seats (heated front) are comfortable and provide great support and adjustability. I have 11k miles on it and it still smells like new leather. I went with Black Sapphire outside and black leather insinde with alum panels instead of that old man wood look. The overall ride I find to be nice and responsive, and although its a little tighter than a Lincol or Cadi, that is what I like about it. I do not like the word "tight" to describe it as that sounds negative so I will use Agile. I bought this car over the Lexus because of that fact and how it performs in all driving conditions (highway, street, stop and go etc). The turning radius is incredible (easy u turnsin tight spots) and the interior is quiet under all conditions. My ownly two gripes I guess are the lack of power (but again that is because I am use dto the twin turbo 335) and the transmission kid of intermittantly lagging or seeming to not know what to do when you initially start or drop the hammer. The other is after paying the 49k sticker, the trade in value now is only 30k. That is a huge depriciation that I guess is a result from all the 328 leases that businesses do. They flood the market and even the rare M Sport suffers."

"Not the handling or transmission this car deserves. Down shifts are abrupt and cars needs to be driver very hard to be appreciate. Run flats are an insult. My Mini and A4 feel more stable at 80 MPH."

"I test drove a 328xi and 335xi today. After reading for years how great this car is, I was really looking forward to finally experiencing the great BMW 3 series . The 328xi was so slow I thought I was driving a 1980's diesel. Then I drove the 335xi. From all the reviews and videos I had seen I expected impressive acceleration. NOPE!!! This engine is also a DOG. How does this engine power the larger BMWs? The interior is low grade for the $ and it it has a very small back seat. I may buy the 328xi for my daughter so she can't get speeding tickets."

"I've wanted a new BMW for years now and I finally did it. All I can say is, I should've done it long ago. I absolutely LOVE this car. If you have the option, definitely get the M-Sport package. It changes the whole look and really adds to the car for only $2,300 more or so."

"Purchased a new 2011 BMW 328i in September with value and premium packages. Severely discounted as a result of the new 2012 design. This is an excellent car, with a terrific ride (just make sure you don't get the sport package). The size is just right for a sports sedan, and the naturally aspirated inline 6 is a terrific engine. Steering feel is great, communicates nicely. BMW got it right in the last year of this models production."
