Best Economy Car No One Knows About
I purchased the 328d used, which is the reason for the high Value for the Money rating. Buying it new would be a poor rating. I purchased the this vehicle due to my long commute (135 miles per day). It had 50k miles and was 3 years old at the time I purchased it, now has 132k. The cost was less than 1/2 of the original MSRP. This is a very comfortable and stylish vehicle that has excellent performance. The 8 speed transmission is always in the right gear. It is really hard to describe how effortlessly the car moves, with the 4 cyl, turbo diesel. It is not a race car, but it is so balanced between quickness, handling, braking, ride quality, and of course fuel economy. As far as mpg, mid 40s is typical. I’ve have a few tanks that were over 50, and none less than 40. I just completed a one day trip of 1300 miles, and the vehicle returned 48.1 mpg, and that was at an average speed of 75 mph. The cruise speed was set at 81, nearly the entire drive. I’ve owned an excellent Lexus CT200 hybrid, but the driving characteristics are nowhere close to the BMW. It’s too bad BMW has stopped making this car. Look for a used one, you will be very impressed with this vehicle as a daily driver.

Extremely regret
I leased a 2015 BMW 328d wagon few years ago. I owned Audis and Infinitis before, so I am not new to this class. The BMW is ABSOLUTELY the WORST car I have bought or leased in my life, regret so much ! The car is just a "ultimate driving machine" (they are not lying), but NOTHING MORE ! The ride quality is absolutely garbage ! Feels like no damping at all, extremely bumpy! When it goes over the water draining pit, it sounds like "bang bang" and send me a great shock! Seems like the car is jacked up in the air and bounces back to the ground. Extremely ridiculous ! In addition, everything is so user unfriendly. MP3 player plays the same folder again and again, will not jump to the second folder automatically. When I use bluetooth to connect to internet radio, it can only be connected around 30% chance, the other 70% chance just no sound at all, no idea what is happening ! I tried 3 Android phones but still the same. The so-called leather steering wheel is harder than hard plastic ! The driver seat adjustment range is not big enough, the seats cannot be adjusted to very high seating position. Central door lock will NOT automatically unlock when the driver door is opened from inside, and there is no setting for this (but there is an option for driver door opening from outside in i-Drive, strange ?), and the central door lock button is on the center of the dashboard, not on the door. There is no height adjustment for seat belt (it is a $50k car, not a $15k car !). The knuckle is far too low, scratching the seats by itself (fortunately the repair is covered by warranty). The memory seat buttons are on the edge of the seat, not in the door panel (like most other cars). The air cond left-right independent temperature controls are always independent, unlike most cars which have "sync" button. The amber gauges looks like a design from 90s, twenty years behind others. However, the service of the dealer is great ! And it covers all scheduled maintenance for 4 years with no cost. The dealer asked me to lease another BMW again, I said this is my first and last, no more. And I immediate returned it after the lease was finished. Although the handling is quite good, it does not feel like a $50k car at all. The ride quality and the design make you feel like you are driving a $15k car. I write this review just because I hope BMW can improve. It is a car with good handling capabilities, but other things just too ridiculous.

Driving Experience is Mind Blowing
Everyone knows BMW's perfection in design and mechanical prowess, but I love my BMW for its effect it has on my mental well being. It's a treat everyday to enter my vehicle and enjoy luxury, speed, agility and power. I'm on Cloud 9 even driving to mundane destinations. Happy to be a BMW owner.

econo car fuel bill, bmw handling
I'm getting 50mpg on the highway, and a combined 38mpg. Add to that diesel prices nearly a dollar less per gallon of premium, and you can drive all month for $100. Additionally, BMW does all maintenance and repair for 4 year/50,000 miles. I know most people wouldn't consider a BMW an economy car...but this one should be considered. Drives great, comfortable and the fit and finish are excellent. It does sound like a diesel at startup and idling, but once your at 20 mph, it drive very similar to the 320.

A lot of bang for the buck
This is my first luxury car. Before this car was a 2011 Honda Accord. The two cars are worlds apart. This car is incredibly peppy and handles like a dream. I cannot believe I am getting 40 mpg with how hard I drive this car. The technology package is a must-have with the heads up display. I am in love with this vehicle!
