3 Series Gran Turismo

The 3 Series Gran Turismo is a four-door, coupelike hatchback version of BMW’s compact luxury car. Though styling cues are shared with the 3 Series Sport Wagon, the Gran Turismo is a larger car overall, measuring nearly 8 inches longer and more than 3 inches taller. The result is a roomier cabin, especially for backseat passengers who get 2.8 inches of extra legroom. The front and rear seats are also positioned higher for easier entry and exit.

What’s Special

  • 240-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine (328i)
  • 300-hp, turbo 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder (335i)
  • Eight-speed automatic transmission

  • Split-folding rear seat
  • Cargo area has tie-down points, hooks and underfloor storage

ActiveHybrid 3

The ActiveHybrid 3 is a 3 Series sedan with a gas/electric hybrid drivetrain. Subtle styling cues differentiate the ActiveHybrid 3 from the regular 3 Series. Among them are logos on the rear roof pillars, galvanized slats in the twin-kidney grille and matte chrome tailpipes.

What’s Special

  • Turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine, electric motor and lithium-ion battery pack
  • Total system output is 335 hp
  • Electric motor can provide a power boost when accelerating
  • Can be driven up to 2.5 miles at speeds up to 47 mph on electric power alone if conditions allow

  • Best car I have owned! A+++

I bought this car about 6 months ago and it has definitely met all my expectations! It's great all around from performance to comfort and styling! And it's even more fun with a, High flow down-pipe, Bootmod3 tune, and pretty much FBO!!! Now one thing to note is that if you plan on modifying the car please do your dudillagence and take every installation very seriously! Because I have made a few mistakes all minor but stupid stuff that in the end matters when you look at details etc!!! Anyways have fun and stay safe! GANG

  • This car truly is the ULTIMATE Driving Machine

Most reliable and luxurious car I've owned. VERY sports-like. The Heads-Up display is awesome ! Active headlights that follow road curves. Luxurious 'baseball glove' leather interior. This is NOT the 328 model. This is the 335iX. Larger engine with Dual Turbos and All-Wheel Drive. All that combined with 6-Speed Manual Transmission make this an awesome car to drive. Performs well in the city or highway and with the 6-Speed transmission, it's also great on gas. Outstanding GPS system and Sound System. This car has all the 'bells and whistles'. I had it specially ordered in Bavaria. Very Rare !!

  • Luxury w/out compromising driving experience!

This car has outperformed my expectations. I have worked as a valet before so never had the opportunity to open it up on highways, but wow! Quick is an understatement, quality of the ride is fantastic and cabin is very quiet. Ultimate driving machine is all I can say. If you are looking at other 3-series definitely pony up and get the inline 6 w/ turbo, you won’t be sorry!

  • Most reliable car ever!

This car met all my needs. It has the stability and comfort I expected, including the patent on the sound it performs when taking off, besides the perfect size, and the unique FM/AM clear-like-water sound.

  • best bang for your buck, a blast to own and drive

Coming from an owner of all different brands of vehicles both foreign and domestic from a chevy astro van to a M3, I wasn't persuaded by the BMW logo to convince me this car is better than it really is because of the badge on the hood. I really don't think there is another car on the market that checks all the boxes like this car can at the price point you can buy them for once they are a few years old and out of warranty. I paid less than $20k for a well equipped 2014 under 65k miles and drove it 16 months putting on 25k miles until the vehicle was totaled after being rear ended by someone texting and driving. Currently shopping for a replacement. I invested approx $1500 on an intake, catless DP, larger intercooler, and tune which turned the car into an absolute rocket thats still comfortable to drive everyday. In the 25k miles i owned mine I replaced plugs, coil packs, front brake pads and did 2 oil changes which totaled roughly $500 in maintenance cost (no clue what this would cost at the dealership if your not a DIYer). The only issue I had was the drivers heated seat element went bad which was a $85 part and about a 4 hour job to replace. I purchased a roof rack and could easily transport my bikes, kayak, and paddle board no problem. I have 4 kids so most trips with them are in the Yukon but all 4 were able to fit comfortably, even my 9 year old in the middle back seat between 2 car seats for my 5 and 3 year olds. Can't wait to find the right spec'ed 340 to replace my 335, its been a little over a month since the accident and I miss driving that car every day.

  • Hot rod in a refined package

Bought car used 3 years ago with 19,000 miles on it. Super fun to drive. The engine's power and grunt are the best parts. It has a lot of torque through RPM band. Getting from 60 mph to 90 mph is effortless. The ride is sporty and can be harsh especially with the run flat tires. I recommend getting the M sport package even though only cosmetic, it looks a lot better with the ground effects and the best steering wheel in the business. Reliability has been so so - accelerator module, battery, alternator were replaced under warranty but not before the car going into limp mode.

  • BMW 335i— The Sport Sedan

This is a well designed car from top to bottom. The motor, performance, and driving dynamics are excellent, while still being very comfortable to drive on short or long hauls. Exterior design is eye catching. Fit and finish of materials is excellent. MSport pkg adds nice mechanical and visual features, which set the car apart from the other 3-series on the road. While not a large car, the interior has adequate room for full-sized adults, with more rear leg room than in previous models. Gas mileage is respectable at 29.5 mpg on hghwy and 26 mpg for mixed driving. Suggested option pkgs: Msport, technology, driver assist.
