  • Falls apart after 60,000 miles

Noticed that most of the reviews that give it positive are from 2019 and earlier – i.e. when this car is less than four years old. At 8 to 9 years old this car starts to fall apart. expect to spend between $6000 and $12,000 between 60,000 and 100,000 miles. Sell your BMW before it hits 60k if you can. It’s great for those first 60,000 miles.

  • Best car I have ever owned

BMW 5 series is the best of luxury and sports car. Love everything about this car. All the luxury features I wanted on the inside, aggressive sports car on outside with M Sport package and great fuel economy. Don't be fooled though, the 4 cyl turbo has great acceleration in sport and comfort mode, Eco mode gives great fuel economy (I avg 31 mpg) for road trips. Overall I get 24 mpg for my daily driving. Has 18 gal gas tank (premium fuel only). Interior is very roomy including the back seats. Plenty of cargo space in the trunk. If I had to find something to complain about it would be the remote start option not being available. But for me that was not a deal breaker. I only have 46k miles on mine currently but expect this car to last for the long haul. Will definitely be getting another 5 series when it's time to trade this one in.

  • This is the first 5 series I’d Purchased.

Interior design and comfort is a good trade of for less rpm. Leg room and back seat comfort is ample. Truck space capacity is very much welcomed.

  • 3 weeks old for me, anyway

Bought it used with 40k miles. Feels like the day it was driving off the lot new. Comfortable, 4 cal is enough especially in sport mode. Gas mileage around 26 combined so far but I’m not driving crazy. Music and media controls are a little to get used to but all good now. I hear they are reliable so I put 4 stars for that.
