"I've always wanted a BMW, however, our family buys American cars only. Stepped out of our comfort zone to buy the BMW, I've always been in love with the classy body style. If not for Cars.com, I would not have even known about the smaller dealership we purchased this car from. They were straight forward with us, answered all of our questions honestly, and had a more competative price than the larger dealships in the area."

"I tried to stay loyal to BMW but the 5 gt is one of BMW's flaws in its perfect rep, so if youre looking for a midsize hatch get an a7, the audi a7 is far more reponsive efficient and much better overall"

A Sport Wagon actually WORTH 60-70,000 ?

"I am a wagon fanatic. I realize that places my credibility in question at the outset, but there are more than a few of us. When I heard that BMW was discontinuing the 5 series wagon exports to the U.S. I RAN to the nearest BMW dealer, traded in my E500 wagon and ordered a 535i x-drive. I have major stuff to haul around, and I refuse to drive a modified Chevy pickup in order to move it from the house to the boat. I also have an 15 year old dog, grandchildren, a beautiful wife with a Home Depot card (that should be Platinum) and an antique F-100 restoration project in progress - just stuff!! But, when I'm not hauling things around, this is a beautiful, capable, soul-stirring luxury car that will outrun my '99 SL500. I will baby this car and keep it forever - because there will be no more. Shame on BMW or the American market or whomever is to blame for the demise of this vehicle. I wish BMW's were more mechanical and less "gadgety". I wish they would take the "I-crash" and come up with a better idea. I wish the shifter linkage was mechanical and not the "fly-by-wire" system. But I also wish you could take an SUV for a fast lap around Laguna Seca. You can't - but this wagon lives for the opportunity. You think it's expensive? Price a GMC Denali."

"I love the way this car drives, handles, accelerates and just downright cruises on the open road. I got the 535xi Touring wagon as I ski & cycle a lot. I need AWD for the mountains, and a wagon to put my bike(s) inside. Also, I have a 6 speed manual transmission. It is hard to by a manual these days."

"Just picked up 2010 535i M Package Carbon Black. This is my 3rd BMW- Two previous were 3 series but wanted some extra room this time. Was going to hold out for new 5 but current discounting on 2010 was too good to pass up. The M package gives the car a great look and handling. Seriously considered the new MB E350 but it just did not have the road feel of the BMW."

Sets a Standard That Is Hard to Follow

"Have owned many performance cars over the years but after my first BMW I found it very difficult to drive other makes and brands. Nothing equals the handling and feeling of connection with the road, also have never driven another vehicle that is so stable in high winds, torrential rains, it digs in and goes no matter what the weather. Just brought home my 3rd Bimmer wagon, an 2010 535i, previously drove a 2007 530xi and before that a 2000 528it, all wagons, all great cars. Can't think of another car that makes me look forward with anticipation to each time I get behind the wheel."
