BMW's flagship 7 Series is a full-size luxury sedan that competes with top-line luxury cars like the Audi A8, Jaguar XJ and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Offered with rear- or all-wheel drive, the 7 Series is also available in regular- and extended-length versions. The luxury sedan comes with four or five seats and is powered by a six-cylinder engine in the 740i and ActiveHybrid 7, a V-8 in the 750i and a V-12 in the 760i. There's also a performance-oriented V-8-powered Alpina B7.
New for 2014 New features include a touchpad for text input that accompanies the iDrive rotary controller. Also new is an available smart-closing trunk. When the driver makes a kicking motion below the rear bumper, the trunk will close. A digital instrument cluster with various views is also new.
