"Love this SUV, they are the best in the SUV market hands down. Don't look for any other SUV on the market becuase they don't stand a chance with the quality BMW offers. How would not want to drive down the street with a BMW that rides very well. The Audi, VW, and M-Bhave nothing on BMW's X5. With the AWD system it's an all year SUV. I have room for both my two large dogs in the back. Trunk space is very useful for long road trips. I recommend this vehicle to all my friends and coworkers."

"This is my first BMW and I won't hesitate to buy another. I've learned a lot about Bmw and what needs to be done with it so that the consumer can enjoy long and happy driving. All thats needs to be done with this auto is at 60k or at 70k depends on the condition, is to change the water pump, thermostat, belts, hoses and around 80k valve covers will probably be leaking. Those need to be changed as well. Other then that this car will run well over 150k. These cars are performance machines, if you don't do the proper maintainance they will not run past 70k. Believe me, I learned the hard way. Once you do the above maintainance you will not have a problem ever. The car will run like new. Oh and one more thing. If you do the valve covers, change the spark plugs while your at it. They are to be changed at 100k but since you have all the cover out and have full excess to the spark plugs, why not just change them then, it will cost less in the long run. Great Sav, would and will buy another."

"Love this car. Have owned it since 2003. I bought it off a lease. I haven't really had big problems with it, but thank God for the Ext. Warranty. I mean this Suv is well build and drives better then all Suv's out there ( I've tested all) But I just don't get it, these cars suffer from minor problems. For example, hoses and belts, and gaskets. I know this sounds very normal but it stinks when you are in below zero temps. and your car breaks down because of a minor hose that cracked open. Other then that, this SUV is nothing but power and style. I love it, and if someone were to buy it, do the right thing and purchase an Ext. Warranty. Do it and it will pay off right away. I promise..."

"I've had this X5 3.0 with sport/premium pkg for 6 years and it's still driving like new car. No problem was found. This car drive like sport car like other BMW so it may make the rear passenger not as comfortable. But great for the driver."

"Great car when you still have a warranty. My suggestion woul dbe to not own one unless it is still under warranty. Once it runs out of warranty LOOK OUT! My 2001 X-5 4.4 ran out of warranty in July and have had it in the shop twice in the past two weeks for miscellaneous electronic crud costing me over $3200. BMW will not fix most item,so if you take it to the dealer you will incur extra charges. But like i said great car when its running and everything is fine. Very sensitive on the electrical system. If soemthing does go its gonna cost ya!"

"Love the handling, power, and looks. Some maintainance needed at 60k or more. Get extended warranty, will pay for itself. Other than that, I'll get another one."

"2001 BMW X5 3.0i is a beautiful suv in good design in and out. This machine is not only luxurious but it is very powerful with its engine. Our only complaint is that the red-lighted indications on dash board are not durable at all."
