2008 Buick Lucerne consumer reviews

Everything was good until I hit 110k miles . This car is literally in the shop once a month so many issues . Fuel injector , water pump , coil pack , wire issues , ac compressor , power steering . Pretty much everything goes wrong with this car expect the engine and transmission . Awful

My husband purchased an old 2008 Buick Lucerne the miles was very low. He very seldome drove it because he was disabled. He has since passed but I kept the car. In 2023 I had a Fuel pump assembly replaced $835.95. Odometer 74,440. This month I had to replace the Fuse Block $602.62 Odometer 80,225. In the past a recall was done on these parts due to the seat bottom having contact with the rear electrical (REC) cover. I called the Buick dealer where I purchased the car but they wouldn't even check to see if the one prior ower had completed the recall. I love the comfort of the car but too many problems.

It's very smooth to drive and it's a good first car. I have heard of kultiple people using these things past 200,000 miles. I recommend.

The v6 would be great but i can't recommend the v8. I own a v8 currently have 159,000 and every single part of it leaks. This is extremely common with the northstar engines. While it is fun to drive I can't say I recommend it unless you're willing to spend double what you paid for it fixing everything. I'm a mechanic and I bought this car before I was one. I've kept up with maintenance and treated it well. This isn't isn't issue on my part this is an issue with the engine. All my coworkers laugh when a northstar comes in the shop and for good reason. It's xxxx near impossible to work on and has tons of problems.

I was in the process of buying this car for $9,12 (the asking price at that time), when my financing fell through. They offered to try and get me financing but in the mean time the increased the sale price to $9,995. They never even tried to finance me as there was no inquiry reported by my credit monitors (and I have 4 of them). They just using this car to get people into the showroom and push them into buying a new car. Completely shady operation!@!!

very comfortable, quiet,reliable as has been every BUICK IVE OWNED, TOTAL OF 7 AND THA 3800 ENGINE IS BEST EVER MADE. MY 1998 PARK AVE HAS 430000 MILES

This car is a death trap. Fire hazard. Battery underneath passenger seat with a cross bar. The tranny is the worst. Followed maintenance and car didnt even get to 60k.

Mine had the CX Package. Value for my car and comes with the comfort Always served me with what it has to offer Definitely recommend it

It was exactly what I needed it to be. I drove it all the way from the west coast to the east coast, no problems.

This vehicle is very reliable and is a great car for anyone it is spacious and also very comfortable it is lacking in the performance department a little though
