"This car is an electronic nightmare. When it's running, it's fine. When it gets a wild hair, it is unbelievable at the problems that it presents. There are some 60 on-board computers that all communicate with each other and with a central on-board device. If one of these gets the slightest bit of an indication that there is a shortage of current or surge, it throws all of them into convulsions. Trying to figure out which one did what and to whom is a nightmare. Mine has been in the shop for a week now and with no end in sight. If someone "gives" this Cadillac to you, they are telling you that they hate you very much. Get rid of it however you can. It is a piece of junk..I'm stuck with this one. Nuff said!"

"I've owned many luxury cars over the years, but for the money, the DTS tops them all. It has incredible luxury, great performance, quality workmanship and PHENOMENAL gas mileage! I routinely get 25 MPG on the road. Detroit is NOT what it used to be... and that's GOOD!!!"

"People that jump in imports without looking at what GM has accomplished with this vehicle are making a huge mistake. Excellent driver - tremendous value - great performance - super quality. Just a great all around car that does so many things well. Engineers are going to be challenged to improve so they'll probably just re-style the body and add some electronic gadgets. Do yourself a favor and test drive."

"I have driven Caddilac for years off and on and prior to this 2006 DTS we had a 2009 Buick Enclave and I was not impressed with it very nice car but not for us. I took a lot of time looking for this Caddy looked on cars.com for weeks on end, almost give up when one sunday afternoon I was in cars.com again and just by accident stumbled on to a attachment from a bigger car dealer for EVS in Salkville and there was a picture and the discription of the car we had been looking for. The price was realy low and so my wife and I went to look at it that very afternoon while there were no lot lizzards around and it looked great so the next day we called and spoke to a salesman about the car,We made a appointment went down and I never drove it at all just sat in it and said lets make a deal, 3 days later we went and took it home. And we've put 4000 miles on it already and what a nice car we love it and the great thing it had more options on it than we thought and was able to get it for about $5000.00 under book what a deal ."

"Good room for a guy over 6 ft. Sits comfortably. Drives easily. I hear more road noise than I did in my Mercedez. Cruise control does not govern speed downhill, have to use breaks. Otherwise, comfort and value excellent."

"Comfort, ride, handling, features, room, visibility and power are just some of the quality that the DTS oozes. What a great value compared to the competetion.Who knew that Cadillac had truly reinvented itself. What an unbelievable driving and ownership experience. This coming from a person with an eagle eye and high standards. "This is my 4th Cadillac much much better vehicle than anything Toyota offers. This vehicle drives and handles perfectly and I feel quite safe driving it. Does well on ice and snow and the Northstar engine runs smoothly and has alot of power."

"This was a former Avis car. I had a few problems but everything was warranty work. I drove cross country twice and averaged 26.7 MPG Hwy and about 16 city. I have had several Cadillacs but this one had the Luxury 2 option. no doubt about it this is a land yacht. I wish they hadn't stopped production. I don't think a CTS would compare."

"We purchased a 06 DTS Performance package, loaded with heated & cooled / memory seats /bose 6-cd changer /sun roof/ power sun shade/ Performance package has only 17 more H/P than the other DTS however it really shows, the large 18" chrome wheels and wide tires handles very well. and plenty of power this car is so smooth on the highway you glide at 85 MPH and this car does not float with body roll, Solid car beautiful looks and comfort, watch the speed as this car easily rolls at 80+ mph and you dont realize it, very quiet no road or outside noise my neighbor has a 07 Lexus and admits he likes this car much better and will likely trade to a Cadillac, his Lexus looks like a fancy Camry. My DTS Performance dont look like a fancy impala this car is the best car we have over owned 1-trip to the dealer for warranty item and that was tire pressure monitor thats it in 44,382 miles."
