". The black interior/exterior is the best color combination, especially with tented windows. My '07 DTS was the last year you could get a black interior with a black headliner. now the black exterior/interior has a beige headliner. . Do think the carpet is cheap. Previous car was 2001 deville. both caddys are the same length but the 07 DTS is not as wide as my 01 Deville. . Also feel that the deville suspension was better on highway driving but the dts is better in city driving. Dts is very quiet but did immediately notice that a passing car on the highways was noisier than 01 deville.love a/c & heated seats. Remote start is a must Do wish that a/c seats would stay on after car was turned on and restarted. More pros than cons with this car. Another con is the stereo display. It is angled and sometimes the sunlight hits it and u cannot read it easily, even with my tinted windows. . Dealer had2replace new brake pads.but after doing so and during multipoint inspection realized the motor mounts needed 2B replaced. During the repair i recieved Escalade loaner and strongly felt my DTS was a smoother, quieter, ride. The escalade is a truck and drives like one when compared to the DTS. . another issue was waking up 2x?s to a dead battery. dealer tested battery and both times test revealed battery was fine. the dead battery has never happened again. Some paint colors do look odd given the bright red colored lens on bumper. Luv the led tail lights. Never have to worry bout the dreaded bulb going out since there are something like 50 led lights on the back of the car including the lighted brake light strip on trunk lid. Luv the way they redesigned the trunk/bumper/back of car and dropped the license plate to the bottom of the bumper as opposed to the deville which had the license plate in the middle area of trunk lid. . Also like the way they choose to display the DTS letters. . The designers really did thier homework when redesigning the new DTS. The DTS is better built than the previous model/Deville. The quality of materials, craftsmenship, and durabilty of the DTS is refreshing to see in a Cadillac. Sad to see it go, along with the northstar engine. Oh also noticed windshield is not as thick as the old one and will chip easier from rocks on the highway.Could also be the angle of the windshild since the Dts is more aerodynamic than the deville. the DTS weighs the same as ?01Deville, Gas mileage was improved by a few gallons by shortening the width and changing the angle of the windshield. Also the frame on body has changed.. I just love driving hwy speeds with a little rain and not having to turn on windshield wipers cause the aerodynamics push the rain right off of windshield. Do miss my rear wheel drive deville. The dts having front wheel drive has definitely effected the turning radius of this car. Deville was a wider car but had a smaller turning radius due to it being a rear wheel drive. Maybe after cadillac sees the lack of intrest in the XTS (due to replace the STS/Deville in spring 2012) they will redesign the XTS and bring back a DTS thats not based on the XTS platform. Something about Cadillac and size satisfy my hunger. The XTS being smaller than the current DTS is a turnoff to me. AS you can read i love my Caddy and know my black beauty very well. Great car, turns heads, small minor issues, nothing that ever makes me want to trade her in. Still on the fence about the DTS replacement. Between the big three luxury brands i say Cadillac DTS all the way. ANd contrary to what i have read on reviews about cars, my dts was a rental/fleet vehicle. Some people run from these cars. The DTS is built to last. People need to remember that rental/fleet vehicles undergo extensive maintanence and are kept for a very short time before being sold to the public. Being a rental/fleet vehicle is a testiment to the durabiliy of the Cadillac DTS. cha-ching$!$!$!$!"

"Three thousand miles out of warranty the sunroof started leaking . Then the sensor for the keyless entry stopped work . Now my chrome wheels are chipping on the inside due to corrosion and won't hold air. Thanks Cadillac GM< for sticking me with a money pit! I go back to FORD"

"Bought this car w/ 12,700 miles on it. it was a tremendous value. It delivers everything just as promised, e.g., muscle car acceleration, superb ride, quiet interior, all amentities, and reasonable highway mileage (26.5 mpg w/ cruise at 70). Huge trunk, comfortable seating (w/ hard to find bench) make it the car for me, maybe your also."

"If fuel economy is your ownly concern, discontinue looking at Cadillac. BUT, make no mistake, the Northstar V-8 does very well thank you! Our non-interstate driving averages 20-22 and at 75 mph on the "big road" we average 26 (take or give a couple of tenths). Like most Cadillacs, the ride is TREMENDOUSLY SMOOTH (we are not in to high speed cornering so can't talk about that) with plenty of room even for individuals such as myself who are a bit more "portly" than I should be. Interior detail is strong on quality and eye appealing. Flexability in using the heated & cooled seating (or both at the same time!) is a comfort feature no car should be without! Windshield and side window design allows for superior visibility - nice safety feature. We could go on but I think you get the picture. Yes, we purchased used (Certified) but honestly feel the quality in our DTS matches the midsized SUV models new we had been looking at. Do not make the mistake of overlooking Cadillac as a viable option. Finally, if more than one individual is to drive your Cadillac on a regular basis, make certain your unit has memory seats. What a wonderful feature!"

"I bought this car from a GM dealer when it was two years old with 31,000 miles. Just like new but half the cost. After reading the owners manual twice, I have figured out what some of the buttons do. There are some buttons I just don't touch. I activated the OnStar and love that feature. This car drives itself and is quiet and floats along - just what I like. Plenty of power - I have a light foot, so I get pretty good mileage. This car is loaded - and I LOVE IT."

"1 time I bought a luxury vehicle and the worse choice ever. GM needed to recall this make, year and model for the defect with the headlights shorting out called water intrusion and corrosion, mind you my vehicle was purchased used while still under manufacturer warranty. I kept explaining the issue experienced at night w/the headlights shorting dealer couldn't find the issue til I was 581 miles over the manufacturer warranty which GM then dropped the ball and said no at replacing the headlights at 1200 a light wow"

"Once I saw this car in black with the black leather interior and chrome wheels, I fell in love right away. The ride is silky smooth, and if needed the power to move this large car is abundant and is delivered silently. This is no wanna-be from Japan; it's the real American deal. Loads of creature comfort, V8 power, seamless and silent shifts and the magnetic suspension provides a floating boulevard ride with taught handling around curves. GM has come a long way with Cadillac, and I feel it is the best large luxury sedan, with commanding and stately styling. It says "CADILLAC" without a doubt. The Northsar V8 is a masterpiece of engineering! Front wheel drive gets you through snow and provides the best efficiency for fuel savings. I am currently getting 26 solid combined highway and city miles per gallon, through reserved driving and plain old 85 octane here in the Utah mountains. The climate control is perfectly effective at holding the desired temperature you require, heated leather seats with a multitude of lumbar support positions soothe my sometimes tired lower back. It's my decompression chamber after a taxing day. Some features I really have grown to appreciate: Magnetic suspension, LED lighting, silent ride, climate control fan, transmission and engine. Noise from the outside is kept to a minumum. No squeaks or rattles at 51,000 miles. Stately and large Cadillac front and rear emblems. Beautiful large chrome wheels. Safety and security of having On-Star. Excellent touch screen navigation and stereo control. Perfect driver's seat in both adjustability for comfort and support. The leather is very nice quality and supple. I highly recommend this car to anyone that wants real luxury!"

"The CTS may be getting all the attention in the press, but the DTS is still the big Daddy Caddy. Its' long wheelbase gives the most comfortable ride, yet still performs with plenty of power to move you along much faster than you expect. While the chassis may be dated, all the bugs have been worked out. The Northstar engine has a nice throaty purr. Standard bucket seats hold you in place nicely. A bench seat is a seldom seen option. Styling is unmistakably Cadillac and has a commanding presence on the highway. If the CTS is abit too tight for you, don't hesitate to drive a DTS. I did and I was sold right away."

"07' Quiet, comfortable, very responsive and I get 27.4mpg @ 65mph (cruise set). Instrumentation easy readout, driver oriented. No clutter, simplicity, but has all the bells and whistles. If you are looking for a great ride look no further. I will buy another one and recommend to all."
