"In addition to the fabulous LTZ trim/comfort package, I absolutely love the engine in this truck! It shuts dow 4 of the 8 cylinders whenever it can (level ground and downhill) increasing the MPG by at least 5 or more. For example, I drove across the Appalacioan mountain on Interstate 77 from central Ohio to southern North Carolina and got a whopping 19.2 MPG! My old Silverado would get about 8 to 12 MPG depending on the load being carried/towed."

"I bought the Avalanche to have a 4WD vehicle for winter and to tow a boat. The Avalanche does a great job of towing the boat and handles great. The interior is spacious and comfortably seats 5 adults. I would definitely recommend."

"Best truck or car I've ever had. Rides like a Cadillac. The only problem I ever had was that the transmission went out about a year into owning it. It was under warranty though and was fixed in no time."

"I love my Avalanche. Looked at everything and shopped everywhere for the best deal. Owned Chevy, GMC, Nissan and Toyota trucks. Was going back to a Toyota but they are way over priced. Fell in love with all the STUFF on the Chevy. Bought a 2007 and an extended warranty (just in case) and still way under a similar equipped Tundra. I have the LT with the LTZ package. This truck drives and handles better than any of the others. My kids watch movies and my wife and I listen to XM radio and its just wonderful comfort. It has been extremely reliable to this point. Drive one and see for yourself. Everyone that sees it wants one."

"I purchased my Avalanche in November of 07. Got the mystic burnt orange LT1 4X4. I had a 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT and drove it for 14 years with no problems. But when I saw the newly designed Avalanche I knew it was time to upgrade. Excellent ride and plenty of room for family. I love the design and versatility of the vehicle. I cant wait to put accessories on it to really top it off. Gas mileage is a little less than advertised on sticker, but it is a truck. I have ridden in and driven other SUV's and was not as impressed as I am with the AVALANCHE. I got rear ended by a cadillac in January, I felt sorry for the cadillac."

"I bought a 2002 Avalanche - the first year they came out - and absolutely loved it. I had only one small problem with it, which the dealer fixed promptly under warranty. I had not intended to trade it for awhile, but my dealer asked me to look at the 2007 version. A ten minute test drive was all it took to make me bring out the checkbook. This new version is so comfortable, verstile, good looking and capable, I find excuses to drive it around. My 2007 is black with the light gray leather interior. I can't tell you how many people have raved about that combination when they see it. I bought my 2007 as a used one, but it only had 10,000 miles on it, barely broken in. It is the LT with some of the LTZ options, including adjustable pedals and dual climate control. The only thing to compare to the comfort is my recliner in my living room! I can't wait to see what Chevy comes up with for the 3rd generation Avalanche. You can be sure I'll be in line early for one, though!"

"Never in a million years did I think I would own a pick-up truck. We just traded in our 2004 Landrover for the Avalanche. The ride is smooth and it is great being up high for visability. I have only had my 2007 Avalanche LT for two months. Two weeks ago, it was involved in an accident. Thank god for the size of the vehicle. I was thankfully not hurt. The Avalanche's front passenger end took the brunt of the collision. I was able to drive my vehicle away, however, the other SUV involved, a Pontiac Torrent, was not as lucky, it had to be towed away. I honestly say that I will never return to a smaller vehicle again, regardless of whether or not it is a SUV. Kuddos to Chevrolet for making an elegant and yet very safe vehicle. I can't wait to get mine back from the body shop. Oh by the way, I am getting better fuel mileage from my 8 cyclinder than I did in my 6 cyclinder Landrover. Way to go Chevy."

"I just replaced a 1991 S10 Blazer that I bought new and put 200k on it. I had been wanting an Avalanche ever since they were introduced. My 07 Avalanche is wonderful. The midgate allows my wife and I to comfortably travel with our three kids while still giving me a pickup truck for the weekend home improvement projects. The kids also love the headrest DVD players. The only complaint I have is minor. The Driver Information Center is located in the gauge cluster and you have to look down to use it. My wife has an 02 Chevy Venture Van with the Driver Information Center in an overhead panel, which I think is safer. Hoping to get about 200k out of this Chevy as well."
