Editor's note: Full details on the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro are not yet available. What follows is a report on the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. Check back later for full details.
The 2014 Camaro Z/28 is a dedicated street-legal track car with significant measures to reduce its weight and increase its track prowess. Under the hood is a new 7.0-liter V-8 that makes approximately 500 horsepower and is borrowed from the track-capable 2013 Corvette Z06. Chevrolet says it has taken 3 seconds off the Z/28's lap times compared to the supercharged Camaro ZL1 in initial testing.
