"Bought the 2011 Chevy Camaro with the RS package for my 17yr old son. We are both pleased with the performance of the 6 cyl (saves on insurance) and love the heads up display it has, perfect for new drivers! The thing my son loves the most is the high end stereo system along with all the comments on how awesome it looks. The only down fall is the tiny back seat, but then again, he can't haul a bunch of kids around either."

"Purchased a used 2011 2SS/RS with 2500 miles. The shifter / clutch feel is much better than i was expecting, but not as good as the new Mustang Boss 302. The car is alot of fun to drive, and the interior techo features are great. It seems to be well made and very solid, a big improvement from Camaros earlier body styles. Trunk opening is very small, and there are big blind spots, but you do get used to them. I have a mustang as well, and find the mustang to be more comfortable and it has MUCH better outward visablilty. I would say the Camaro is more fun to drive, but the Mustang is easier to drive and live with as a daily driver."

Convertible top is poorly designed and has issues

"If it wasn't for the issues with the poorly designed convertible top, I would rate this car top notch. It is a blast to drive and it is a dynamite looking car, but GM has a poor design with the ragg top and they have not yet done a recall. After researching this, I have found more than 100 other convertible owners with the exact same problems, excess rubbing in a certain areas that causes premature holes in the canvas. Mine had a hole in the canvas before it was even one year old. Unacceptable!!"

"I've owned this Camaro 2LS RS since January 2011. I agree with most of the reviewers about the downside of ownership; poor visibility, poor gas milage and cheap, plastic interior. Dispite this GM has a winner of a car. Everyone that sees the car falls in love with its looks. Performace is top notch for a V-6 and the ride is smooth, helped by firm heated leather seating. With less the 3k miles I have an issue with the drive train. At certain low speed crusing there is a vibration that can be felt through-out the car. My dealer diagnosed the problem to the drive train and GM has made a tool to fix the problem. I also own a 2007 Shelby-GT which is not as quiet as the Camaro nor as smooth. I trust my dealer along with GM to fix the issue with the low speed vibration."

"I have had a crush on the Camaro since the mid 70's in high school! Chevy has combined great modern features with some of the classic touches I remember from the 68 Camaro. I love it!! At least once a day someone compliments me in my car! A joy to drive!"
