"I've had a '98 Corvette for about a year and a half. I absolutely love it. It drives wonderfully. The stereo kicks! Everything about it is reliable. And the best part is that everyone recognizes and loves a Corvette. Best money I ever spent."

"The car is amazing, engine pulls like a mother, stops and corners very well, and looks good while doing it. Is it perfect? No, it follows road imperfections a little too much for my liking and the steering is a little numb, but despite these issues, the interior is laid out well and the trunk on the convertible is usable with the top up or down. Overall definitely a winner."

Tremendous All-Around Sports Car

"The car (C-5's Corvette Coupes) simply can't be beat. Power, control, daily drivability, reliability, fit, finish, comfort, appearance, the looks it gets, and all the great and functional features that come both standard with the car...and then all the factory options - if you're lucky enough to find one with most of them. What a difference from the older Vettes, in finish, rigidity, handling and none of the annoying noises, sketchy handling and squeaks either. The car seems to be made to spec. "as is" without needing any modifications. I've been 180 in mine, blinding 0-60,100,150+ drags and there's not much out there faster for the money, that has the practability, room, comfortable ride for both driver and passenger, AND even luggage friendly (coupe/targa model). It's a tremendous car that performs as smooth as it looks sleek. Super for cruizing or track-like action. Get yourself a good radar/laser detector and keep the car quiet as is, without adding any noisy or otherwise any un-needed modifications. Stick with a low-key color and you'll get thumbs up from CHP's as you blast on by. Out of the box, the C-5 Corvette Coupe just can't be beat. Save even more by picking up a well-cared for used one. Just respect the power and the G's it can pull upon agressive driving - wow. It is THE American Super Car. I've driven mine over 80k miles and no complaints."

"The Corvette can turn heads and can also be fast when you want it to, but the gas mileage isn't so great. You might be able to get about 20 on the highway, and not even 14 in the city. But with a stick shift the gas mileage is pretty good. This car is very fast and can be dangerous in some conditions because of the amount of power and the lack of handling in the possy rear wheel drive."
