"Doesnt get fuel mileage by 6 miles to the gal. Also u need twice expensive oil with no benefit still need oil change every 5000 miles it shifts horrible too many shifting not comfortable ER had a Chevy Aveo that was a much better car will never buy Chevy cars again. It also has a recall and has lost a lot of value on the car."

NICE CAR, SAFEST CAR ON THE ROAD

"I agree with most of the reviews here that are positive. Did you know the engine design is German-made? My salesman showed me a photo of a 18-wheeler tanker than T-boned a Cruze going 55mph demolishing the front and back end of the car, setting off all of the air bags and the people in the car walked away. If that's not a safe car I don't know what is. It's a good value for the money and once you get used to the new technology transmission I think you will really like it. Very smooth and quiet ride If you want a car that may save your life in an accident seriously consider this one. Volvo, eat your heart out!! I have owned mine 3 days now."

"I owned the Cruze LS with the 6-speed manual. Loved the car. Performance was great and the manual transmission made it an even more enjoyable ride. Interior was nice with two tone seats and the dash set-up had everything easily within reach. My main plus with the car is the safety. Unfortunately I crashed my Cruze. Higher speed and hit a deer. Which made me loose control and went off the roadway. I hit a big rock off of a "jump" launched the car approx. 75ft through the air where it nose dived and continued to flip and roll down off of a 100ft cliff. Car was completely demolished. However. Three people in the car. We are all here today because of this car. All the rescue workers were amazed we were all alive and how bad of an accident it was. I can not explain how safe this car is and I can not recommend it enough. So don't turn your head to the Cruze highly consider it!"

"I purchased my Cruze LT2 new in August '12. I liked the features the car had, and my family has always been Chevrolet drivers. So far, I really enjoy driving my Summit White RS Cruze. The gas mileage isn't as good as I hoped, but I expected this after reading other reviews. It is not bad by any means, 35.3 mpg average, mostly city, and highway, very few freeway. I drive a decent amount, as I commute to school and work daily. I enjoy the iPod integration and steering wheel controls. My only complaints would have to be the odd shifting behaviors the car has. It jerks drivers and passengers a bit when it is shifting up, and when shifting to lower gears by simply coasting, the car jerks, sort of like a manual would. A little odd and can be annoying sometimes. The turbo is also touchy and likes to rev quite high, even though you might not even be pushing that hard on the accelerator. I think that this also uses alot of gas and may account for the lower fuel economy. I can also hear more wind noise now that I have ~2k miles on it, than I did on the beginning. Overall, I would recommend the car and love my remote start, and convenient switchblade key for my northern climate."

"great auto until recall fix reduced highway fuel mileage 3-5 mpg and increased road noise to an unacceptable level both of which gm and the dealership have no fix for"

"don't like the down shifting of automatic transmission. The gges are 20% high in the readings of MPG over actual mileage. Still good but not what one might think if only going by the gages."

"comfortable seats, were a little stiff for the first few weeks but broke in,layout of instruments is great, interior door lock buttons would be more convienant on door panel instead of on dash.i bought a 6 speed manual for the fuel mileage,it gets to be a pain at times figuring out which gear to go into when climbing grades or sweeping mountain grades but overal as long as engine is kept at a high rpm range car is very responsive.i only have had car for a couple of months/2k miles so i am still learning the operration."

"I love everything about it except the seats and lack of uphostery. It's a net-like material that catches every bit of duct, hair, paper, etc. The seat is narrow, feels comfortable when you first sit in it, then the longer you drive the more uncomfortable it gets. I like the Bluetooth connection but am having some trouble getting rid of Onstar calling to get me to buye into them. I was surprised that my searching online for a new Cruze didn't get immediate response from all the Chevy Dealers."
