"We were drawn to the Cruze initially because so much of it is built and assembled in our state of Ohio. The Fords,Chryslers and others Mexico and overseas. We only have 2500 miles or so, but recently drove 6 1/2 hours each way to see a friend with three adult in the car. Everyone was quite comfortable, even a full grown man in the back seat. I drove the entire trip, and after a few miles getting used to the smaller car and quick handling, (I drive a Z71 4x4 p/u), it drove and handled very easily and again, was quite comfortable."

Unimpressed with this cheap little car

"I recently was rear ended while driving a new Camry Hybrid. The insurance company set me up with a Chevrolet Cruz while my car was in the shop. This is a cheaply made car that feels cheaply made, underpowered with one of the most unrefined transmissions I've experienced in years. It was unresponsive and couldn't decide on a gear. The engine sounded buzzy and struggled when pushed. Plenty of road and engine noise. The door handles were not finished well and stuck while opening. The styling is underwhelming both inside and out. The trunk is large for a car in this class. I really don't know who is buying a car like this. My guess is mostly rental fleets, seniors or those who want a new car but can't afford anything that is better built. It really feels slapped together. I didn't think that they made care like this anymore. At least I hoped that they didn't."

"I recently purchased a 2013 Autumn metallic Chev Cruze with Leather Black/Brick Interior, Sun Roof, lighted Door Sills, Pioner Upgrade Radio, Navigiation System, Remote Start, Enhanced Safety package- I splurged a little on the price $ 28,800 but feel I got good value for my $'s - I am very happy with how it performs in snow (Minnesota) and the mileqage and comfortable interior and drive- Has a lot more "spunk" than I expected.. I just need to figure out all the bells and Whistles - Very Pleased Motorist"

"I got rid of the car I thought could not be beat in mpg. I was wrong I had a VW new beetle 06 with a TDi 1.9 turbo Diesel with a dsg tiphtronic 6 speed a/m. It was the best mpg. car you could get but I was wrong best mpg on the VW was 30 city and 38 hwy. My new Cruze Eco. averages 42 hwy real mpg if you read the road you could average I believe 45 hwy (depending on the road elevations) learning to drive the car makes all the difference; keep in mind that 4th 5th & 6 th. gear are all over drive. What I have been trying to do is reach the posted speed and then go to an O.D. gear I choose one that works with the speed and elevations. You want low r.p.m. but at the same time staying around Peak Torque about 1650 r.p.m. I have obtained 37.5 average comb. driving. keep in mind that city driving is the hardest mpg to determine because sitting @ traffic lights kills economy along with stop and go. I know if I really try to commit to max mpg. this car will be single #'s away from the most expensive hybrids mpg's. But every once in a while I need to teach someone with a civic or corolla to respect the turbo spool @ 6000 rpm's... C' YA AM OUT. Summary, I am very happy to own the the Cruze Eco 6 speed manual with the closing lower louvers in the front @ higher speed for aero di. and the 0.61 to one over over yes that's a little over 1/2 engine turn speed to one full wheel spin.. Remember it needs to say Eco. To get plus 42 mpg's 1.4 TURBO INTER-COOLED, DIRECT INJECTION, DOUBLE OVER HEAD CAMS, 4 VALVES PER CYL. , CONTINUOUS VARIABLE VALVE TIMING PURE MPG'S ON MECHANICAL TECH. GO G.M. GETTING A K&N FILTER SOON. MINE IS BLACK GRANITE IN COLOR."

"Very very very very very reliable car and it delivers when it comes to safety! I was recently in a car accident and my cruze was totaled and I was able to walk away with no broken bones. Thanks to God and all those airbags coming out. I will definitely purchase another cruze. It has pass my test with flying colors. Way to go on this car!!!"
