"Having been totally satisfied with our 2007 Pontiac Torrent, we wanted a similar car when we traded for a newer model. We chose the sister product in the Chey line, the Equinox. The size and comfort is perfect for us, and we enjoy an increase of nearly 5 miles/gal. Glad to have On-Star back. ECO systm takes geting used to as it does make acceleration feel sluggish."

"This Equinox does reflect GM's change in becoming competitive with global mfg.'s in quality and performance. Some refinements in performance & comfort are needed, (harsh over bumps, driver.'s space needs enlarging, the 4cyl. more power). Yet overall this is a competent CUV, would buy again. Fuel eco. 23 city/ 29 hwy."

"Lots about this suv we liked but it was in the shop way too much. The dealer replaced everything from cam gear to water pump and timing chain, still couldn't get it to run smooth and quiet. The transmission always seemed a little funky too, dead spots and rough shifting. Did get great MPG though, 20 in town 25-32 hwy depending on the speed."

"Great ride, the back seats are super comfortable , built solid , not to big not to small , good on gas . Perfect AWD SUV for states that get lots of snow . just as good if not better than any of the foreign car makers in the same class, if anyone is shopping for a mid size SUV , go test drive the new Equinox ."

"I liked this vechile, useful and very good gas milage. However I was having trouble with the cruze control and the steering. I did not want to deal with dealer repair even if under warranty. I no longer have the vechile. Likely will not get involved with GM vechiles again."

"Really wanted to like this car. Styling is nice. Reliability is poor- had timing replaced at 33K miles. Never got close to 32 MPG on highway- closer to 25 MPG. Overall, disappointing. Unfortunately, got rid of it after 3 months."

"To think that people could comlain about this car baffles me completely. I get 28.4 MPG mixed driving and easily 32 on long trips. as for the slight blind spot over your left shoulder, if you cant handle that you shouldn't be driving a crossover, or maybe anything for that matter. I find my Equinox super comfortable and quiet on decent length trips, even compared to my 5 series BMW. In short if you are a human, buy this car. If you are a raving baffoon, please do not, all of the satisfied drivers will think you are an idiot."

"When I bought my Equonoix I was looking for the good millage advertised.I've had it a year and only get 17 miles to gallon. It was advertised at 24 to 32 miles per gallon.Good in snow with the all wheel drive.Lots of blind spots in it.Already had one recall for back hatch handle/opener.Seems to be a magnet for hit-in-runs!Do not roll down the back windows when driving. It will sound as if the whole truck is going to rip apart!!"
