Good, but cannot install car seats in back

"Rented an LTZ with the V6, very comfortable ride, very smooth, good power. Enjoyed it so much that shopped for one, but when tried to install a Britax forward-facing 5-pt harness car seat in an outboard rear seat, we could not. The rear seat headrest prevents the car seat from fitting correctly. The rear seat headrest is NOT removable and NOT adjustable, so we cannot install car seats in the rear outboard. Car seat fits fine in the center position, but need to be able to install it in outboard as well. This is the only car I have ever seen that did not have removable (or at least smaller) headrests in the back. Advised by the dealer that this is a "safety" thing. If you're in a 5-pt harness car seat, you don't need a headrest. Poor design, prevented us from buying this car."

"This car is gorgeous it is white with chrome handles and top rails...I love the heated seats but its a 4 cylinder and I would prefer a 6 because the six seems touchier. Also when the car start is on it does not heat the car even if the heater is on. The air conditioning and heater is also very loud. I would prefer air vents in the back seat for the kids. Other than that I feel safe with the OnStar and use it all the time. I do love this car but my monthly payment is way too high so I need to downgrade."

"Have 4cyl. FWD and gets the MPG as listed. If you get a V6 and AWD hope you don't think you will get the 32MPG(4cyl.FWD)hwy. rating. Is just a great little puddle jumper. Put hitch on and pulls a utility trailer fine."

Automatic Trans Towable 4 Wheels Down

"After researching all SUV's that can be towed with all four wheels down, the Equinox with its 6-speed automatic transmission and weighing under 4000 pounds came in way ahead of all competitors. Overall performance with the 6-cylinder engine is way above its price range. For me and my wife the styling, interior and exterior looks are a bonus. Actually, she picked the color and the 2-tone leather heated seats while I was concerned with all the other options. The LT2 with the addition of the optional heated leather seats has just about everything you could expect in a moderately price vehicle."

"An ideal people carrier, it averages about 24-25mpg combined. The four cylinder engine gets the vehicle up to speed but its meant for economy not performance. The controls are well laid out and although I have a base model LS, it still has many features and is very comfortable. The car is insulated from most outside noise and drives well. A good vehicle at its price point."

"Vehicle drives and performs nicely plus the Pioneer sound system with dual rear DVD's is awesome. Only quirk I've found is that if I don't keep the rear hatch lid interior control set on lock, it has arbitrarily opened which most likely is from that button on the remote accidentally being pushed as I always the keys in my pocket. One nice thing about the rear hatch lid is that it can be set to at a 3/4 opening plus there is a button on the hatch that will close the lid without using the remote. Mileage isnt great....around 22mpg with the V6 engine"

"Having been totally satisfied with our 2007 Pontiac Torrent, we wanted a similar car when we traded for a newer model. We chose the sister product in the Chey line, the Equinox. The size and comfort is perfect for us, and we enjoy an increase of nearly 5 miles/gal. Glad to have On-Star back. ECO systm takes geting used to as it does make acceleration feel sluggish."
