"Purchased in March and put 2500 miles on it. Like the good gas mileage and don't mind the extra shifting of the auto trans. Happy with room and ride as replacement for Malibu."

"Poor fit/finish of the dash and interior front door panels. Paint on exterior has primer showing thru... Trans upshifts/downshifts at an annoying rate. Will trade soon for a Benz!"

"Purchased a 1lt on 6/1/2012,a 4cyl with the drivers convenience pkg. compared to subaru forester, mazda c/x5,honda crv,& toyota rav4.Drove & researched all except the rav4(insufficient leg room) the others drove fine but each required unwanted equipment inorder to get certain items. The equinox was the least expensive, & had the best ride & was the quietest on the road. Having gone into this purchase with the knowledge that numerous owners were disappointed with the mpg. They are telling the truth, it looks like about 22/23 mpg mix of city & highway driving. Very early opinion but so far quite satisfied. Will follow with a more seasoned opinion."

"My Girlfriend had her heart set on a Nissan, as she previously leased a Armada that she loved, then a fully loaded Altima that she thought was ok. She was eying the Murano and said she needed more space for our baby but the gas mileage was an issue. I convinced her to look at the Equinox after she drove her cousins Rogue. Once she test drove it and looked at the space, was surprised and thought it was a great value. The fit and finish is excellent along with the options offered, great value. Her cousin now wants an Equinox once her Rogue lease is up."

"My mom has a 4 Cyl equinox. It's a nice smooth ride. very roomy in the front, back and trunk. acceleration is ok, better than the honda CRV but it's not enough. The v6 would be much better. I get aroud 30 mpg highway and 25 city."

"Was a little reluctant to convert from my Cadillac CTS sedan to an auto with a four cylinder engine but I am really pleased with this vehicle. It's acceleration is good the ride is smooth and the internal appointments are excellent for a base model. It's especially easy to get in and out of, much better than the Caddy. I'm getting about 26.5 MPG but haven't really done anything other than around town stuff."

Had a Fender Bender

"Rented an Equinox on a business trip and got a fender bender in a mall parking lot. Hit a small yellow pole at 5 mph and it took the right front quarter panel off. I looked inside the wheel well an found this flimsy carpet-like material behind the wall. Looks like poor body construction for the price."
