"Didn't know what to expect when I traded my 05 Monte for this cruiser but sure glad I went with my instincts. Bought it used with 20k and the first 6k have been a blast. 6'6" of me and plenty of head, leg and shoulder room and no passenger complaints. Love the retro styling and performance has been surprisingly good. Also great for shopping trips as the room behind the rear seats is more than adequate and with those seats down its like a station wagon. Would love to see a fwd version but I'll keep mine with no complaints..."

"I have owned my 06 HHR LT for a little over a year now and have put about 15,000 miles on it. I have had absolutely no mechanical problems with this car at all. I had to replace the battery and put new brake pads and had the rotors resurfaced but that's it! It is fun to drive and has lots of room for road trips and camping. I was surprised at the power it actually has. when I need it to get up and go it does with no hesitation! The only complaint that i have about this car is the cloth seats. It seems that the material is flimsy and picks up stains REALLY easy and it is hard to get out. I spilled some clear 7up and even after spot treating the stain is still really visible. Other than that I love love love it. If you are thinking about getting a chevy I highly reccommend the HHR."

"Bought used with 32,000 miles on it. My last vehicle was a Dakota Quadcab so this was a big change. Love the looks, versitility, and comfort. Gas milage is wonderful, around 24 MPG in town and 30 MPG on the road. I've owned it for four months and so far no problems. Could use more stash pockets and cup holders and better interior lighting such as larger map lights."

"bought this car new in may 06. just out for a ride, and came home with two vehicles. now has 82000 miles, without any problems. just keep servicing regularly! wife loves the ride and mileage, still around 32 in combined city/hiway driving. sorry it is gonna be discontinued in 2012 and replaced by a different model (that's about when we'll trade again."

"I was one of the first to buy this in Connecticut when it came out in '06, bought the dealer's demo model off the lot with 17,000 miles on it. Now have 78,000 miles and drive it all over Michigan and the Midwest in all kinds of weather. It still turns heads, my favorite comment was a co-worker who said, "this is the perfect iconoclastic car for someone like you." Indeed. As someone who has had maintenance issues on other cars, the HHR is a delight. At 75,000 miles I asked if it was time to replace the timing belt and learned happily that it has a timing chain that goes the life of the car. Comfortable for a tall person to drive."

"This is the first new car I've owned. I love its size, smaller but lots of space on the inside. Gas mileage is great. I love the interior light that comes on when it gets dark outside. Very smooth ride, even in the back seat."

"I have only one complaint I got the oversized wheels and tires 17" with the low profile tires! Which if you are into a soft ride forget it! When you get on the freeway with the washboard cracks in the cement it's a terrible ride! It's a dream to drive on regular roads though! It's a little noisy if you buy the LT with the 2.4 engine with the resinator on the muffler. If you're into a smooth ride make sure you get the 16" tires with the regular tire that come on the standard models and you will love the car! I think it's the neatest think since sliced bread! I would recommend this car to anyone!"
