"I have owned this car since 2008. I love it. I only have 43,000 miles, so I can't comment on how things hold up after that. The gas mileage is only 18 mpg city (so they say), so I have been looking to purchace a more fuel effeciant car. I have been looking for a year on and off and just cannot find anything that I like as much as my Impala. I have nothing but good things to say about my car. I just wanted to find something smaller. I compare everything to my Impala even though some cars aren't even comparable. (like apples and oranges). I have decided to hold on to it a little longer until I find another car that I just 'have' to have. Not looking good yet though as I am lovin' my Impala."

"The Impala is a large, well equipped, comfortable sedan. For dependable everday transportation, you can't beat it. The LTZ has all the features one needs except for memory seats for multipule drivers, but take 20 seconds and readjust everything. With plenty of power (V-6) the Impala will accelerate quickly to highway speed, but slow down entering sharp curves to avoid the big sedan lean. Snow won't slow it down since it has the extra weight on the front drive wheels to keep moving. The interior is extra quiet and large, and the rear seat is roomy. Perhaps the thing I will miss most about the Impala is the huge trunk. Fold the seats down, and haul anything a small truck will, and I have. I have even put a full size glass storm door in there and closed the lid. Don't tell my wife, but I even hauled a push lawn mower in there with the handle sticking out the back with the lid up. If you think about everything that goes into the construction of an Implala, the features it provides, the safety, and the utility of it............without the huge markup you will pay for a big brand name auto with more features you don't need, you will be one smart puppy with the savings in the bank."

"Okay, my car runs well... There has been one issue with the air conditioner and several people I know with this car younger and older have had this issue. It costs a couple hundred dollars to fix. The think the name of the issues was actuator. I purchased the car new is 2009 and now my car has a little less than 70,000 miles on it. I plan to purchase a new vehicle so I can have a vehicle with third row. I plan to keep my impala. It gets good gas mileage. (my car shows 21.9 mpg on the screen) Would recommend and would buy again."

"Important to me in a car is safety, fuel economy and comfort. I purchased my Impala after being involved in an accident and needed a car in a pinch. Knowing the great review of the Impala, I got one and have only grown happier with it after owning it for 18 months. Not only do I have the great performance, I also have the torque and power necessary to pull my fishing boat. I havent had a single problem since buying this car."

"I got the 08 LT as a graduation present from my folks when I graduated high school back in NJ. We looked at all sorts of cars, but we thought this one had the best value. I go to school in North Carolina, and this car is an absolute dream to drive on the highways. Set it on cruise and enjoy the ride. Around the town, it ain't bad either! Quick reaction for a big car. I wish the gas tank was bigger than 14.5 gallons.. although the MPG is great I still find myself visiting the gas station often. Other than that, I never want to get rid of this car. Literally plan on driving it until the engine falls out. Sleek enough styling for my taste and simplistic controls inside while not slacking on key features. Recommend it for just about anyone."

"I've always loved the look of the new Impalas, but even with the good reviews I bought mine in a pinch, needing a car to get back to school with after having been in an accident. I have not been disappointed. I get over 30 mpg on a regular basis, and driving in the flat prairies of North Dakota I have even pushed that number to 37 on a few occasions. Outside of mileage, I also can press down on the pedal and feel the power when I need to- which is also handy when I use my car to tow my fishing boat. Buy this car and keep regular maintenance and you might never get rid of it."

"This is absolutely the worst car I have ever owned, or known anybody to have ever owned, worst mistake of my car buying life letting myself be sold into buying this car. Why? Well everything breaks! I have been stuck in a supermarket parking lot unable to move because the shifter was locked up. I have been listening and feeling the car shake like an earthquake going downhill due to constantly warped brakes even after changing out all 4 rotors and pads, I have had my accelerator changed out by the dealership, with the car sounding and moving like a dying animal. I have had a defective leaking Fuel Valve replaced, random (unexplainable by the dealership) battery corrosion, one of my automatic door locks no longer works, premature tire wear, two wheel hubs replaced and the ride on the car is still extremely noisy, I feel/hear every bump in the road, the shifter torque locks every time I park on a hill (pretty sure I've worn out my E-Brake pretty bad because of this), and best of all is that I've had my car serviced at 3 different Chevy/GM dealerships which each one giving me the same poor attitude about anything wrong I ever bring up. This car company is paid for in part by my tax dollars and at this point I feel like I have not only been ripped off by GM, but also by the American government. GM needs to take responsibility for its poor product designs whether part of the NEW GM or the OLD GM, recall these cars and give me a refund of absurd amount of money I have had to pay for a poor excuse of a way to get to work and pay my tax dollars to support this country. I'm truly sick to my stomach writing this review and I hope the NEW GM or the OLD GM or whoever they wanna be are truly ashamed of themselves, and lose tons of sleep over it, although I highly doubt it!"

"Bought this 2008 Impala LT 3.5 V6 Flex Fuel, with 45,000. Fantastic 36 MPG on a trip, 22 to 25 normal every day driving. Only one problem, 18 rotors in 17 months. Just had a new type of rotor put on today, hopefully they last a long time. This car seems to have more HP than it should, runs like a big V8. I use all synthitic oils, Amsoil. Don't put in a K & N air filter, the oil in the filter gets sucked out and gums up the throtle body and gas MPG drops big time. I had to clean the TB out and use a reg. filter. MPG back up."
