"I really love my Chevy Malibu Maxx. I can't understand why Chevy has dicontinued it. Well, I can; when I think abt it, it is so close to an Impala, I can easily see it eating into Impala sales. In my opinion it is better than an Impala. B4 buying I read a bunch of Reviews and they were all great. Great interior & exterior styling, with an eye to detail. I love using the Audio controls on the steering wheel which I initially thought so OTT (over the top). I use them all the time. I love to sit in the reclining back seats & relax while I am waiting for my child to finish a Piano (etc) lesson, look at the sky thro' the Moonroof, or eat in the back seat w/her, setting up our little table etc, again in-between church & extracurricular activities. The adjustable shelf in the rear is great. Again, can be set-up for an outdoor picnic as a table etc. Long live my Maxx!"

"I had owned this car for 3 years and placed over 60,000 miles for work with this car. The ONLY warning I could offer is to beware of the electronic power steering. There is a known issue, and fix for this. Once this service had been completed, I had NO other issues with this car other than standard maintanence. It handled very well, even through the winter driving. The car is very comfortable and has lots of room."

"I cannot understand why Chevy stopped making this car! It is like a little SUV, but gets great gas mileage and can fit a big dog and lots of kids. I love it and would buy another one if it were available. It is built on a Saab chassis and I feel very safe while driving it. I heard it did well in all the crash tests, also. I put 80,000+ miles on it in 4 years and feel I received great value for my money. Buy American! The ONLY suggestion I have is I wish the rear window powered down like the old fashioned station wagons. The Yellow Lab would appreciate the fresh air."

"I had looked for months online and on lots for a new car. I had my heart set on getting a hybrid like the Saturn Vue until I test drove it. I test drove dozens of cars but nothing felt right until the Maxx. The first one I saw was gold and it turned me off but I kept looking and found my black beauty. I have had this car for over a year and put 12000 miles on it traveling out of state with very little work needed. I have had to replace the cd player and the factory installed dvd player due to user (child) error. The tail light and blinker needed replacing but the cost and time was extremely minimal. The wheels needed alignment and the rear wiper button needed to be replaced. As this car was still under factory warranty, I only put $100 into it. No car is going to be perfect but this was one of the best cars in its class for the money. Pros: Fun, sporty, stylish, but still a good family size vehicle and gets good mpg Cons: Rear window is small, minor issues with standard features,"

"I have to say I have owned quite a few cars. I bought this one from Hedrick's Chevrolet in Fresno and its a Malibu Maxx SS 2006. I can't say enough about this car. It has pep, it's sporty, has a euro feel when driving, outstanding features and it gets great gas mileage."

"Ok, so I just got this car a few months ago. After graduating college I figured I needed an upgrade (or rather my dead Escort decided for me that I should upgrade). Fresh outta college I could not afford something expensive but this car is it for me!!! The price was great for the quality... Comfy, powerful and comfy. (yea I know I said it twice) But it is so roomy. I absolutely LOVE this car!!!!!"

"As an artist, I love the design of this car. I love the leather bolstered seats on the SS, and the sweet steering wheel. As a mom I also love all it's room and storage capacity. One of my favorite features is in the back there are little hooks for mom's to place their grocery bags so that they don't roll around while you're driving, now that's smart thinking. It also gets decent gas mileage for the power it has. Yes, I LOVE this car!"

"Talk about awesome and amazing! This care out performs any other car in its class and beyond in my opinion~! I had a volvo prior and was very reliable but not comfortable and def not enough storage room, but HELLO this car has that and then some, the standard features are the best, remote start and security a bonus! This car handles great, the turns are amazing! I love the ride, rides like a small cadilac no joke! Im o impressed and I am a very bug guy about 375 lbs and holy cow there is alot of room, more in this car than the ford explorer I owned way back, this by far beats anything I have had for comfort and reliable, the only downfall is that they dont make it anymore which is a true shame, so if you can get ur hands on one, test drive it and see for urself!"

"We've owned the car since March 2007. I like driving this car. It has great get-up-and-go. With good tires, it is really great in the snow. Good gas mileage, too. I prefer to drive a standard, but this car doesn't come with a standard transmission. My husband loves the car, but there are some issues. The brake rotors keep warping under normal use, we've had 2 sets put in over the past 30,000km. Apparently, this is a problem with most Chevrolet automobiles lately. There is a service bulletin regarding the steering. Our steering problem was fixed under warranty. Now at under 80,000 km, either the HO2 sensor or the MAF sensor has gone. I also don't like the limited visibility thru the rear window for backing up, and the wide windshield posts have caused some sightline problems on occasion. There are some fairly sizable blind spots. We've had customer service problems with GM Canada regarding the rotor problem. They admit there is a problem with poor quality from the manufacturer, but are reluctant to do much about it. After a lot of complaining, we finally got some resolve, but we still needed to pay some shop time. The passenger seat is not as comfortable as the driver's seat. The center storage unit it too tall to rest your arm on. For a vehicle that won best car, it could be a bit better."

"Ok WE all know that imports make a better car overall right. They last longer than our american cars. Well I drove a honda civic till somone decided to steal it. Went out the next day and got a deal on a malibu maxx and wont go back. Yes this is not a super car, the gas station loves me more but I love the room. My maxx is not that big but at 6-1 its more roomy than my civic and a lot of other cars. It does have some noise from- they say the anti-lock brakes booster pump. Ok i just turn up the cd player a lil louder. I'm going to tell you tho I like the idea more and more knowing that with an american car that - one I will be tryin to keep some of my hard worked for money in the states and two- they dont like to steal newer american cars like the imports. this engine has some go to it so dont think that you cant roll out. I guy wasnt watching when he was changing lanes and i got on this puppy and i moved out, something with my honda wouldnt have happened. If I had leather seats I would be in total love! The SS model yeah its nice but hey the regular maxx is great and do you really need 40 more HP? Look at the engine spec. and then ask yourself. I'm not saying this car is the best car, but for the money I cant see why I would buy anything else and i drive 100 miles a day in this bad boy and love every minute of it!!"
