"I have been considering a new car for a few months and the Chrysler 200 Limited was at the top of the short list. I finally purchased mine a couple weeks ago and am very happy I did. I have read the reviews and listening to bashing this car has received and the bad reviews are not deserving. Driving the car and looking at the styling of this 200 will pull you in. The V6 has more than enough power. There is some torque steer when you drop your right foot to the floor, but I thought it pretty exhilarating. Took a road trip to MS and back over the weekend and the 1450 mile trip was incredibly comfortable. 11.5 hour drive each way and was not a bit tired or sore when I arrived. With a little dealer research and incentives that are out there you can get a very good price for this very nice car. Time will tell how reliable the car will be in the long run but I have seen much improvement in this brand. Sun and sound package are definitely worth the price."

BAD TRADE-IN VALUE

"Purchased the Chrysler 200 Convertible in October 2012. Less than 6 months later, for business purposes, I was going to trade the convertible for an SUV. The total price of the car was $33,000. CHRYSLER offered me $24,000 for the vehicle they JUST sold me. I went to a Toyota dealership to purchase the FJ Cruiser. Toyota offered me $14,000 for my trade-in. How can a car that Chrysler charges $33,000 depreciate more than 50% in less than 6 months? How is this possible? This should be illegal. Funny thing about the Chrysler dealership: I purchased a 200 convertible from them, and in turn, the salesman bought my trade-in, which was a 2009 Altima. I should have known then that something was wrong when a Chrysler salesman buys a used Nissan from his customer. Nice. If anyone is thinking about purchasing this vehicle, I would think twice, unless you have money to throw away."

"I drove a new Chrysler 200 for 2013 with V-6 engine. Very quiet, secure handling, great performance, and very nice interior with the Limited. It was the sedan version. Looks like an excellent value with all the rebate deals. My Sebring with 65K on it and 12years old has been very reliable, so I could only bet the newer ones would be Great!!!"

"I bought the 2013 Chrysler 200 Limited S model. Such a great car! Amazing handling, very quick pickup. Clocked 0-60 in 6 seconds flat. Great styling, S model is definitely the best looking one too. I average around 23-24 mpg. I get around 280 miles on a full tank. Plenty of trunk space, large enough for my bag full of hockey equipment and more. Paid 22,000 after rebates for new car. I have to say this car has the "best bang for the buck" out of any cars under 25K. Remote starter, satellite radio, upgraded Boston Acoustic sound system, leather heated seats, automatic headlights, fog lights and so much more. Highly recommended."

Nice Car Wish the Mileage Was Better+

"This car has the four cylinder with six speed trans, and when you are driving, it is always shifting up or down. Between the six speed and still tight motor (only 2K miles), I am getting 29 mpg like the sticker says, but my miles are 95% highway. The sixteen gallon gas tank makes it seem like I am filling up a lot. If the motor loosens up, and the mileage improves a bit, I would give it a five star rating. I guess the variable valve timing isn't helping the mileage much."

"I have owned both the Toyota and the Honda vans and I can (and will) honestly say that the Chrysler T&C is a head in quality, gas mileage and reliability. On recent trip to Florida the van averaged 29.2 mpg. For the size of the vehicle and three passengers, absolutely fantastic. The ride is incredibly stable, headlights are superior (I can actually see), interior is comfortable. Contrary to some of the comments I have read here, there have been no 'strange noises' or 'bugger boos' after 8000K the T&C rides as well as the first day I drove it. The power of this vehicle is absolutely outstanding. I do not base my comments on a 'weekend rental' or a short drive of a friends vehicle, I own this vehicle and I love it. If you want a reliable 'people mover' you cannot beat the Chrysler T&C. For those who love to find fault I do have one (nit picking) problem; the two DVD screens can only show one movies at a time...there, have I made you happy?"

Slow to warm up

"Purchased the car in July, and later found that in cool/cold weather the car takes a very long time to warm up and runs sluggish. The 4-cyl has is slow to react when accelerating, especially in situations like merging on a highway; I specifically asked if the cold weather difficulties for Chrysler that have been talked about since at least the 70s had been resolved and was told they are no longer an issue, but REALLY what did I expect from a salesman? Also, within the first 2k on the odometer car started making a "popping/pinging" noise similar to something hard hitting a tin roof, had to open a case by calling customer service to have it checked out, as dealer kept saying it was "normal operation". The source of the noise that occurs everytime the car moves between 10-20 yards after the car has been off and sitting for approximately 5 minutes. The cause of the noise has not been determined after months and around a dozen visits to the dealer, even left the car at one dealer until I was contacted and the service manager claimed the sound was gone but when I started the car and drove off, I heard the same noise and with the dealership's recommendation will drive it until the noise gets worse, even though not knowing what is causing it continues to concern me."
