"I bought a new 2000 Lxi after owning Hondas for 23 years. I took the plunge after renting a Dodge Stratus, knowing it had a Mitsubishi engine. The car has been good, comfy & dependable transportation until this winter (2010). The thing stopped running at a busy intersection. A local shop replaced the computer & the distributor assembly, which houses the coil. It's back in black, but there are some nit-picky things I don't like: 1) visor clips break every couple of years at nearly $15 each, 2) the 6-CD changer went out after 5 yrs & is quite expensive to replace, 3) all the rubber grease boots on the struts wore out just out of warranty, 4) replacing the back 3 spark plugs costs a couple of $hundred in addition to the $20 for the plugs, 5) the trunk seal fell apart after dragging several heavy things across it. I now have > 132,000 miles on it."

"if they make the interior styling a bit better, and make a newer model, I would probably buy it. But otherwise I think it is a pretty good car."

"Best car I've owned. Bought it new in 2000, had to have the driver window moter replaced in 2009. The right rear brake in 2010. Will keep it untill it can no longer be repaired. :)"

"Bought a 2000 chrysler cirrus used in 2002. Still have it with 252,000 miles. The amazing thing is besides tires and brakes are the only money i have put into it. I have put on hard miles and am buying another 2000 chrysler cirrus with 75000 miles at a very good price and hope to get another 150,000 miles out of it."

"I had a Cirrus which I purchased new in 2000 and drove everyday for nearly 8 years. I had no mechanical problems at all. I changed the oil every 3,500 miles and replaced tires and the battery once. I had 135,000 miles on it when I traded it for a new Chrysler Sebring. Although the Sebring has some great options, I really liked the interior design and trunk space of my Cirrus. Very reliable car!! Great sound system!"

"The 2000 Chrysler Cirrus is a great car! I've had no mechanical issues since my purchase. It has a sliding moonroof, automatic windows/locks and a smooth ride with a quiet engine. I'd recommend this car to anyone looking for an affordable and reliable vehicle!"
