Worst ever car buying experience

A Mr. Goodner sold me a 2008 Civic EX when I had to have a car quickly. I should have checked Carfax on my own, but having always dealt with Honda dealerships and had outstanding buying experiences, I thought I would find the same here. Had I looked at Carfax I would have seen that the car had been wrecked twice, had multiple panels repainted, and had dirt in places I had never seen on a car. When I asked Mr. Goodner about the strange blue color of the car he said that he had seen cars in all colors of blue. After I purchased the car things immediately began to go wrong. Since my recollection was and still is that I had asked for a 2-year warranty, I took the car back and was told that I had turned down the warranty. Indeed, this was reflected in my paperwork. After replacing a battery, having a light going on indicated the tires were low (they weren't), I contacted Mr. Goodner. He had absolutely no time to talk to me. When I took the car to trade in at a Honda dealership I was appalled by the Carfax report which no one hard shown me. These people have no scruples and I urge anyone considering buying a car from them to run fast in the opposite direction. The trade in for this car was $6,000 LESS than I paid for it, but I know have a car I can trust. Maybe the Civic was a "Katrina" car. I don't know. Just don't shop there. Don't. When filling out this review only one of the survey question allows you to answer "POOR". The rest require that you fill in "FAIR" as the lowest choice. Service manage was rude and not helpful.

Bad Service Bad Dealer Bad Driver

Went to Have My Van Appraised And it Came Back With Scratch Down the Side. They Said they Didn't Do it. But it Wasn't There before they took it to Drive it. So Beware They may damage Your vehicle and say its not there fault.

Dealership experience

Car Max has been providing better services because their business model is based on the fact that customers hate haggling over price. The trade-off here is that average Car Max vehicle will cost average worth compare to other dealers in the market. Seeing most of the time customers are willing to pay as it streamlines the process and avoids any unpleasantness.

Great Exprience

The salesman was great when I came in the first time to check out the car. I wanted to go home and think it over & he wasn't going to be there the next day so he hooked me up with someone who was. I came back the next day & drove the car & bought it. They didn't pressure me ever. It was all on my terms & what I wanted. It was a very enjoyable experience.

Great place to buy a car - Nashville CarMax

The salesman made purchasing the car a dream compared to other places. He really new his stuff and made the paper work a breeze. I had the car shipped in from another state. It was exactly as they had advertised or better. I thought the rear tires were worn in the center. Other than that, the car was fabulous. Their service department is also very efficient, timely and professional. However, they did not agree with me about the tires. I would still give the place an excellent rating.
