Picked up my ordered 2015 GMC Canyon from Freehold today and I have to say this was by far the best vehicle buying experience I have ever had. Jack, our Salesman and Bruce the Sales Manger from the first time we met them, Professional, Courteous and worked hard to make us happy. We were in the Costco Auto Program which told us our dealer was on the other side of NJ. Looking to test drive the new Canyon and not finding any at any closer dealer, we stopped into Freehold to test drive a vehicle, not intending to buy. After the test drive I explained to Jack that we had just wanted to test drive and that we had our deal with another dealer. Jacks words were "My sales manager wants to sell trucks and he will not let you walk out with matching or beating your other offer." True to his word they matched the offer in short order and we left a deposit on an ordered to our specifications SLT. the estimated delivery time was 6 to 8 weeks. This is the part of the story where the excellent customer service of Freehold came into play. As the truck got built in a relatively short 3 weeks (due to an excellent allocation (due high sales volume) this dealer has that gets your order place ahead of most other dealers in the country, something that is very important), I thought we would have our truck in the 6 maybe 7 weeks, life is good. Then the lost truck saga started. GM is trying hard to improve quality of the vehicles they build and does not want trucks being delivered to customers that have defects. My truck and thousands of others (Check out coloradofans.com forums) got stored while GM inspected and reinspected. Finding out about this (GM did not inform the dealers) I kept Jack and Bruce updated as to what i was finding out. They beat the bushes on their end to expedite my truck and they kept me informed and updated. In my discussions with others in a similar situation I found that the effort that they put in to get my truck to me was way above what other dealers across the country were doing for their customers. When my truck finally got here (Picked it up 12 weeks to the hour from the order date) they again expedited the delivery process. And at every step of the process they treated my wife and I great. My only regret in this process was that we do not have another car to buy from them. I cannot recommend these two guys and this dealership enough. I look forward to purchasing other vehicles from them in the future.
