New 2013 Wrangler Unlimited Sport

It was an absolutely painless process to buy from Capitol. I will be returning for my next car. I went to another dealership in CT looking for the exact same Jeep and was there for 2 hours being passed between 2 sales people and then the sales manager. Who has time for that? I contacted Heather (internet sales) on the phone, told her the car I wanted, the price I was willing to pay and in 15 minutes she called me back. Mr B...you have a deal. I drove to the dealership and had everything done inside of an hour. AMAZING!! This is a smaller dealership, family owned since 1930s and the family actually works there. Grandson of the original owner at the desk, mom at the register, sales person never left my side until we were all done. If you want espresso, huge glass walls and 20' ceilings with a chandelier in a dealership this is not where you will find it. If you are looking for a good car buying experience, a great deal, tremendous people without all the fuss-this is where you want to be. Excellent people, excellent deal, great service. Thank you for that. Excited owner of a 2013 Jeep-My first.

2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara

This dealership and its employees are great! I had been searching for a used Jeep Wrangler for nearly 3 months and had been working with 5-10 local dealers in upstate NY. After expanding my search radius on cars.com, I found one that was supposedly a 100 miles away that had all of the options that I was looking for. Well come to find out, that the dealer was actually 144 miles or 2.5hrs away, which made me hesitant. After working with Mike Breen, Sales Associate for about a week, he assured me that the trip would be worth my while. I worked with Craig Lewis, Sales Manager who was personable, knowledgeable about his vehicle, and most importantly willing to make a deal. I can't tell you how many times I visited dealers and knew more about the Jeeps they were selling than they did. After some negotiating we made a very fair deal. After making the deal I asked Craig if I could have an auxiliary cord to listen to my music for the long ride home, not knowing that they didn't have any on hand at the dealer. He went out of his way to provide me with one. After returning home, there was an minor issue with the Jeep's navigation unit that after a little research and a replacement part was also made right by Craig. Just goes to show that these guys are willing to go out of their way to earn their customers business. Outstanding quality, personnel, and deal. Happy Jeep owner!

Jake the Plumber

I took my 02 Ram in for a body shop estimate for replacing a black out decal on the passenger side door. The original one was partially blown off last winter in a self serve car wash. I had removed what was left of the old one and all of the adhesive myself. I was told that in order to install a replacement they would have to remove all the inside door panels, door mirror, and all the weather stripping. I told them that was not true as I removed the old decal and did not have to remove the mirror and door interior. They responded that that is the only way they could do it and I politely told them no thanks. This is not the first time that I have had a problem with this dealer and shame on me for trying them again. I will not ever have them repair any of my autos or will I ever consider them when shopping for a new car.

Outstanding!!!!

In 2010 our family had recently moved from Fl. to Ct. Being a N.E. native I was familiar with the treacherous winters we could have. The vehicle we owned at the time was not equipped with 4 wheel drive and with two younger children, work, etc, I could not take any chances of being "stuck" at home. It was time to make a change. My husband owns a Wrangler and so he decided to go to Capitol because it was local. I was unsure how we would be treated because of the typical dealer reputation, so I opted to stay out of the situation and let my husband handle it. Craig Lewis was the salesman that had helped him. He took my husband for many test drives on many different vehicles and my husband decided that the best car for us would be a Jeep Liberty. All I had to do is test drive it. I fell in love with it and the rest was history... We have continuously gone to Capitol for all our Jeep needs. Not only was Craig outstanding, the entire dealership has been wonderful. We have had to use them for service as well as the body shop and cannot say anything negative. We are always treated with respect and honesty. Recently, I decided that I needed to downsize my car. I was reluctant to get rid of my Jeep, but my kids are no longer little, and the Liberty is pretty big for 1 driver. I was shopping around entertaining different makes, still unsure. I hate having to get a new car because of the hassle. I looked at Capitol's website and this little beauty caught my eye. It was a 2013 Jeep Patriot Latitude. I called Craig up and inquired. He said to come down and take a look. This car is a bad a**!!! The next week we were back at Capitol negotiating the purchase. Craig happened to be on vacation and had Mike Breen take care of us. Craig had been constantly checking in with Mike during the purchase to make sure all was well even though he was on vacation. Mike had been exceptional and had made sure it was not stressful. Mike was so helpful, fair, understanding and most of all patient. Shame on me for ever considering going anywhere else! I cannot say enough good things about Capitol and would recommend them to anyone!!!

AMAZING dealership!! worth the drive

i was originally intending on buying a brand-new jeep wrangler, and had been working with a dealership in my home state of Rhode Island. after changing the scope of my search to include CPO jeeps, i expanded my search to other dealerships to see what else was available, and am SO glad that i did. i happened upon Capitol Garage purely by chance while perusing cars.com, and could not be happier about it. they have a great selection of CPO jeeps with low mileage, a menagerie of colors, and extremely competitive pricing. i found a 2011 mango tango 2 door wrangler with 16k on it with all the right features for less than most older jeeps that i had found with higher miles. Heather, the sales rep who got in touch with me after my email inquiry about the jeep, was attentive without being overbearing. she was friendly, personable, and let the jeep speak for itself on our test drive. where some dealerships use high-pressure tactics, she opts for a more welcoming approach. after a lengthy test drive, i knew this was the jeep for me, and we began the purchasing process. the most painful part of the purchase was getting the insurance situated. Seriously. Heather and Mark, the financing manager, made the entire process so painless and actually pleasurable. no nerves, anxiety, pushy sales tactics for extended warranties or anything superfluous. as i live in RI, and the dealership is in CT, they even arranged for my car registration. they gave me dealer plates, and are actually sending someone to RI to get the new registration for me, and will mail it and my plates to me. if saving your out-of-state clients a trip to the DMV isn't customer service, i dont know what is. Capitol Garage is a bit out of the way for me, and might be for most buyers, but it is WELL worth the drive. i would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the market for a Jeep, or any other dodge or Chrysler. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I LOVE MY NEW JEEP!!

Amazing, Hassle- Free, Pressure- Free Experiance

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP to anyone in CT, MA, RI and any and all of New England. I recently purchased a new 2012 Jeep Compass Sport. I worked very closely with Craig Lewis (sales manager) and couldn't be any happier with the entire process. I started my car search looking for a used car (in fact I had 14 cars in mind!). I travel a lot for my job, so gas mileage was a bit priority but I also live in New England, so I needed 4 wheel drive! Jeep Compass was high on the list, and I have had a Jeep in the past. I heard through some friends that it is very good on gas, but has 4 wheel drive too! After a friend told me about his experience with Capitol Garage in CT, I thought I would give them a shot. I started working with Craig through email, telling him EXACTLY what I wanteda used compass. After Craig explained how much more I could get out of a new car, I decided to trust his judgment. He told me to let him know everything I wanted in the car. Well, I told Craig that the Compass would have to have 4 wheel drive (living in New England, that a given) I went on to say that I would like it to be black or white and that I need phone hook up (which I later learned was called U-Connect). Craig put me at ease throughout the whole process, reassuring me that he would get everything that I wanted. A couple days later, Craig let me know that he found the perfect one! Living in Massachusetts, everyone thought I was crazy going to Connecticut to purchase a car I had only seen pictures of and researched online (granted I had test drove a 2011 model in Mass) but I didn have time to shop around everywhere, so this was my best option (and I do NOT regret one minute of it). Not only was Craig personable, but caring, honest and understanding from the beginning. I never felt pressured at any moment to buy the car. Everyone at Capitol Garage was extremely accommodating. At one point in time I needed some paperwork faxed over to my insurance company ASAP. Although Craig was with another customer at the time, the folks at Capitol Garage were able to work together to get me all the paper work I needed in just a couple of minutes and faxed to my insurance company. Craig did EVERYTHING for me. He was able to help with all the paper work so that I didn have to go from department to department, one person to another person like some other dealerships. I wasn able to switch plates from my trade in to my new car because I was the only person who signed to purchase the Jeep (where as my trade in was owned and insured by my father). Craig and Capitol Garage gave me dealer plates and told me not to worry about anything; they would get the Jeep registered in Mass and send out the plates over night. Well they did just that! A couple days later, I received brand new plates and registration in the mail (next day service) along with a pre paid envelope to send the dealer plate back in. Looking back now, I wouldn change anything and my experience with Capitol Garage was amazing! I don think Il ever purchase a car from another dealership! I will be making my way back to Connecticut to visit Capitol Garage and Craig for my first complimentary oil change!! Thank you Capitol Garage! Thank you Craig! I love my NEW 2012 Jeep Compass!!
