What a fantastic experience!

After finding out that once again my van needed a great deal of work, I figured after 4 years of constantly putting money into the vehicle, it was time to get rid of it and start looking for something safe to drive. I searched on cars.com for about 2 weeks. I finally found a few vans in the Syracuse area that were in my price range. I had driven a couple of vans in Cortland, one at a major dealer and one at a small dealer. At the larger dealer, the salesman was very pushy, rode along with me as I test drove the vehicle and talked the whole time I was driving. He tried to make me think that if I didn't buy the van that day it would be gone (it's still there). He continued to call for a week after I had taken the van for a test drive to see what he could do to get me to purchase the van. At the smaller dealer, I noticed the airbag light was on, he told me it was probably happened when all the seats got taken out for the van to be cleaned and the sensor had been bumped. I saw the carfax and noticed that the vehicle had been in an accident just 2 months prior. I also test drove a Dodge Grand Caravan at a dealer in Auburn, NY. When I pulled into the lot there were 6 salesmen all standing outside just waiting to jump at the opportunity to sell me a vehicle. Again, the salesman insisted on riding with me while I drove, told me where to go, and talked the entire time so I couldn't listen to the vehicle. When I was done with the test drive, I looked under the vehicle and noticed the frame was already pretty rusted and in 5 years, it would be no good. I told him I was not in love with the van and they kept pushing. I left, and they continue to call me. BUT..at Fayeteville Dodge, when I pulled into the lot, Joe Yagan came out and just asked if there was anything he could help me with. I told him that I wanted to test drive the 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan that was listed on the website, he got the keys for me, put a plate on it and said, "Take as long as you want." I came back, and Joe just asked me what I thought of the van, and I was in love with it. Joe was wonderful throughout the entire buying process. I was very nervous about buying a new van after all of the problems I had experienced with my old van. I can't say enough good things about how pleasant and helpful Joe Yagan was. I would recommend Fayeteville Dodge in a heartbeat to anyone that is in the market for a new or used vehicle. They will work with you to get you the price that you need, they won't try to get you to purchase a vehicle that you don't love or are not happy with, and they make the purchasing process very easy. Thank you so much for my van. My family and I are very happy with it!

Great Dealership!

I bought a Caravan from Joe Yagan. Joe was great! The buying experience was relaxed and not pushy at all. I got a great price on my new van and a fair price on my trade-in. The Business Manager, Mike, was excellent also. I felt comfortable with him???again??..never pushy. Come to think of it, everyone I met at the dealership was friendly and professional. I recommend then highly!

Not a pleasant experience

Chatted online Friday early afternoon to ask about a used car. (Granted, it was the least expensive car on the lot at the time which may account for all that follows.) I was told that a salesman would contact me. It did not happen. I drove down there on Saturday to look at the vehicle. The salesman and financing guy were kind and helpful. They did appear to become impatient with me as I sought a more fair price and better financing deal. (I still ended up paying around $500 or so more than the car was worth). I signed a deal for the car and was to return and finalize the financing on Monday. I returned Monday and they secured financing that was acceptable. I expected to drive the car home that day, but they told me they would call me Wednesday morning when I could pick up the car but didn't explain the delay. They did not call me back by Wednesday afternoon (after I had rearranged my wife's and my schedule) so I called them and they told me that thee was a necessary repair and I could pick up the car Thursday. I expressed my frustration and they did offer me a loaner car. I picked up the loaner Wednesday and sign all the paperwork including paying our down payment. I was told that definitely they would have the part the following morning (Thursday) and I could pick up the car that afternoon. On Thursday, after rearranging my time again, I called late in the afternoon only to be told that they didn't have the part and I would have to pick up the car on Friday. The sales man started shout at me over the phone (and I was on hands free so my four year old daughter in the car heard all of it.) Finally, at about 3:30pm on Friday, I was told I could pick up the car. I picked it up around 5pm and the salesman who sold me the car did not meet with me. Another gentleman was assigned to help me get the plates on the car. When I asked him a question about the security feature on the (only one set of keys), he acted annoyed and told me he was only told to help me put the plates on. Bottom line, if they had just been up front and told me I'd have to wait a week, I probably would have been fine with the whole thing. As it is, I really can't recommend buying a used car here after the experience I had.

2011 Kia Optima

Found the car I wanted on cars.com and proceeded to contact the dealer regarding the vehicle. Greg in internet sales got back to me very promptly and I schedule a test drive. I was met with Greg and he introduced my wife and I our salesperson, Justin. Justin was great, no pressure was really applied, he gave us time to think about and in the end all was GREAT! They found us great financing amidst having poor credit. The overall experience was perfect, the car is perfect, everything is just fantastic! Thank you Fayetteville Dodge! And thank you Justin!

My Experience

Went to dealer to compare prices for car lease. Found a car we were totally interested in leasing and talked to the sales person (Justin O'Connor). He made a preliminary offer and when we explained what we were willing to spend, he went and had adjustments made to allow us to accept. We had gone to other ddealers and them made offers without checking our trade-in and that made us uncomfortable. Justin had the car driven as well as checked over and then made his offer. Any questions we had were readily answered to our satisfaction.

Easy experience

Bought a 2012 Dodge Ram even though I was not looking for a new truck. The price was great with rebates/dealer incentives to the point where it made since to purchase a new truck. Very happy with Justin O'Connor and the sales experience which was very easy. The experience was good enough that a co-worker went to see Justin and also purchased a new truck a couple of day's later.
