Buyer beware! Owner lacks professionalism

Purchased a 2008 Saab 9.3 used from this business on June 19th. On the drive home the rear window would not roll up (I do have to say that owner fixed this problem shortly after I contacted him to report this). Less than 24 hours after having the car the front end began to shimmy upon acceleration and when the owner drove the car with me to see about this issue, in my opinion it was minimized and discounted to be a balance issue. Owner sent me across town to have tires balanced. This did not fix the problem. Took to independent mechanic & told inner driver arms needed replaced @ cost of $1K. The day after having the CV job problem identified, the AC compressor quit working!!! Took shop repair estimate to owner who indicated he would pay "most" of repair for inner driver arm (both sides) replacement as well as AC, since both were "pre-existing". Owner later left voice mail saying he did not say he would help with the cost of the AC. The day I was attempting to set up the appointment to have the CV driver arms replaced (owner told me he would pay "most" - told me he could get the parts & I could pay the labor $189; remember it was like this when I drove off lot) the car overheated two times, with no warning I began receiving messages to pull the car over & turn off the engine b/c the motor was too hot. At this point I was beyond frustrated with the fact that I had apparently purchased a lemon from this lot and I sent the owner an email to articulate my disappointment that I had, in error, put my trust in this individual, who took advantage of me @ a vulnerable time. In my opinion, the owner's response reflects his lack of integrity and professionalism. In his email he points out he does not have to do anything to help me as I purchased the car "as is" ~ this is correct, but isn't there some implied hope that the person is not going to screw you over? Please find the owner's email response attached to this review. If I can keep one person from going through what I am going through now, then I have been successful. At this point, I can't drive the car b/c of the overheating & I used all of my money to buy the vehicle. OWNER RESPONSE: Amazing. And not normal words. Never said i knew they were existing. I said since they were pre-existing. All You can do is ask how can you alex help me getting things fixed at cost or less. Axles from $1800 to $189. What a DEAL and New as well. You purchase a used car as is. I am still helping. Instead of thank you alex. I get Shame on you. I never yet recieved anything like that in 20 years. I knew myself. I do no wrong. I try to help always. You maybe going through a hard time. So, is me and other people around. Plus, you are not the only one i deal with all day. You don't have to take it out on me. Customer call me after 3 and 4 years of purchasing their cars from me asking me for assistant in referal to fix thing. I do it. All you have to do is ask in a nice and polite way. WATCH YOUR WORDS. THEY ARE DISCUSTING. NOT NORMAL I AM VERY UPSET WITH THIS EMAIL. AND I WILL NOT SEND THE PARTS TO AARON. GET THEM DONE YOUR WAY. ***I tried to attach my portion of the email as well to help the reader understand the discrepancy between his response and my email. Please feel free to comment on this review that you would like to see the email I sent him if you would like to better understand who you might get into business with. I am frankly shocked that this man has an A+ rating at BBB. Surely I can't be the only person who got the short end of the stick from this guy. Please, please use caution when dealing with this used car dealer.

Alex (owner) was wonderful to work with!

We made the 3+ hour drive to look at a used BMW in Kansas City and worked with Alex Hammouri. Let me just say he made the trip well worth it! There was no pressure to make a purchase, no cat and mouse on the pricing of the vehicle and trade. We were able to tell him how much we were willing to finance and he met us right there. During the test drive Alex even gave me tips and advice for my current car that we weren't even trading in. His knowledge is absolutely awesome, rarely do you come across a dealer that can tell you a lot of mechanical information on the car, he knows how to service a car and this made me even more confident in my purchase from him! THANK YOU
