And he again said he will replace the catalytic converter with a new one and that he promised with would be at the shop in a week]. Now what if another problem occurs and the check engine light is on permanently, how is anyone to know if there is another problem? I am waiting again with no call. So again I have spoken to a general manager and I did get a call back from the mechanic who said the catalytic converter is in the shop and would I wait two more days for an appointment because he has too many other things going on. Well, now the day before I am supposed to go back in and have the new catalytic converter Installed the mechanic did call me to tell me that he checked the box that the catalytic converter was in and that they sent the wrong part. He said they will have to reorder it again and that it will be another 4days to a week before it will arrive. He said it is not his fault that they sent the wrong one. Well it was his job to put in the catalytic converter the first time instead of trying to replace it with a used one, and then whose fault was it? So again I am in waiting mode. I forgot to mention the heat shield bolts not tightened and some missing!!! After all this nonsense, you would expect some kind of compensation for the trouble, they never replaced the gas they used to take it out on the road ( a 45 minute trip) to see if the check engine light would come in, which it did. How about placing the gas they used? What happened to customer service? I was in the business of customer service for 30 years; I would never have been so indifferent, rude and inconsiderate to my clientele. You won?t get a car to use if they are working on your vehicle, I can understand one day however they had my vehicle back and forth for over a month for things to be done correctly. Now they were anxious to make a sell and get a good review about the sales men before the auto left the lot however what about the follow up, if indeed there is a problem, like there was with mine, that could have been a simple fix if they had replaced the converter with a new one in the first place instead of trying to be cheap and hope nothing happens before it was too late to bring it back.. Marks auto doesn?t get brownie points for customer service nor would I have confidence in purchasing an automobile from Marks Auto in the future... Needless to say I am not happy with this company and will not recommend them to anyone!!!

In reguards to Marks Auto on Colfax Blvd, Lakewood, Colorado I bought a car from Marks auto and I am very disappointed in this company?s customer service. After the purchase of my new used car I headed home, I did not make it 60 miles before the check engine light came on. I called the shop right away and was put on hold and then the phone hung up, I called back and the same thing happened, when I finally got the mechanic on the phone, it was closing time and the mechanic said to call back in the morning. I called back in the morning and the mechanic said to bring it in. I live out in the country a couple hours away so I brought the car in to the shop. The mechanic said that they were really under no obligation to fix the car because I bought it [As Is]. However the check engine light should be an easy fix. They kept the car for three days and did not call me to tell me anything, I called again and again and again and was told they would return my call of which I waited three hours with no call back. Finally I got through via a general manager and the mechanic said it was a sensor and he had fixed it. I headed home. (Again 60 miles away the check engine light comes on again. I called the Marks Auto again; they said to bring it in at my convenience. Ha convenient??? Again The mechanic told me that it has to be the catalytic converter, (he said they had replaced the old one before I bought the car) and the paperwork shows it was replaced, he said that they put a new catalytic converter in before putting it on the lot to sell.] Lie it was not new. The mechanic told me since the problem was there before I bought it that they would fix it and that the catilitic converter was a refurbished (caught in the lie) one and that it had a defect. First he said a new one. The mechanics said it was not his fault and they will order another one and that one in 1000 catalytic converter is faulty. Now the waiting began. They said they would order one and it would be in the shop in three days. After not hearing from them on the fifth day, after getting hung up on, [put on hold and calling back and getting several receptionists and sometimes a salesman]. My son called to find out what the holdup is. He spoke to a general manager who assured us that they would let us know when the part was in. Another few days go by and my niece called and talked to the general manager, of which he reiterated what the mechanic said, they will call when the part arrives. She explained that we have never once had a call back from anyone at that shop. With no avail. As I am writing this it has been three weeks since they ordered the catalytic converter, Today, after finally getting put on hold someone on the phone, via a general manger again, being hung up on again, and again calling back, saying they would call me back, talking to someone, being hung up and put on hold when no came to the phone, hung up on again. I was told the catalytic converter arrived two days ago. As of right now I have an appointment in two days and that it will take all day to replace the converter. The mechanic tells me after waiting all day for the catalytic converter to be replaced again, that when he took the car out for the test drive the check engine light came back on and he will have to order another one and I could take my car home until the next one arrives. It is now a week later and I have not had a call saying the new catalytic converter is in. At this moment I am again on hold waiting for the mechanic. And now the receptionist says he is not there, she says she will have him give me a call. Well as expected the mechanic did not call back; it has been another two hours and no one has called to just let me know if the replacement is at the shop. After speaking to a general manager again the mechanic finally called me back. The mechanic said, trust me even though the check engine light comes on and that I could take that car anywhere with no problem. Trust him??? continues on
