Salesman says they do not negotiate.

by from Perth Amboy, NJ |

Spoke to a salesman who said their prices on used vehicles are rock bottom. He said I was trying to lowball them. They are untruthful and dishonest.

Too good to be true

by from West New York, NJ |

You know the saying too good to be true? Well, it's exactly what happened. This site had a vehicle at a price, it was certified and the carfax shows it was certified. Upon getting to the dealer, we were promised that price before taxes and fees only to have tons of these "fees" added on PLUS an added fee to "make" this car certified. We were told to pay all this otherwise the car wouldn't be certified. A total of about $3000 extra in fees before tax! Nevertheless, it made no sense since it already was certified. The manager had no idea how else to justify these bogus fees. The salesperson couldn't even look us in the eye when this was happening. She did try to help, the manager didn't and we had to decline. Just do your research like we did before going in. It helps. Sucks that we couldn't get to an agreement. We really liked the saleswoman

Dishonest, Horrible to do buisness with!

by from Monticello NY |

My experience with Hudson Honda was horrible from the start. I had purchased the car from Hudson Honda and the car was supposed to be Honda Certified. I found the Honda Insight listed on cars.com. I called Hudson Honda and let him know my finances and what I could afford. I told him I was coming from at least 2 hrs away and wanted to be sure the car was in great condition and Honda Certified. He sweet talked me into believing the car was in great shape and was Honda Certified. After that conversation and a 2 hour drive my experience with Hudson Honda was a nightmare. The staff there were unfriendly and made us sit and wait in their showroom for a long period before someone even came to help us. When I was finally able to see the car it was in a warehouse across the street. Me and two elderly people who came on the trip with me viewed the Honda. It was packed in the warehouse so tight it was impossible to see the entire car. The three of us saw there were no major dents and we were then escorted back to the showroom where we had to sit unattended for several hours. Every once in a while a person would show up and ask me to sign papers. I was reluctant to do so because we hadn?t even made a deal for the car. Several different people came to me with an amount to finance and my answer was no because I only had a certain amount available on a monthly basis for payments. It was now getting dark and they elderly people who joined me on the trip were getting uncomfortable and hungry. They finally after hours lead us upstairs to make the deal, stating they would give me the financing I originally asked for. I asked repeatedly for a copy of the Honda Certification, only to be told they don?t give it out in paper form and that it would all be on line. Tired, feeling responsible for the people I brought, and really wanting this car (single mom, price of gas etc.) I reluctantly made the deal. When we left no one there showed me anything about the car. They didn?t even give me a booklet of information pertaining to the car and its features. When we drove out of the lot it was very dark. The next morning when I woke up I saw two dents in the side door and scratches that I could not have seen at the dealership due to the positioning of the car in the warehouse. My family that traveled with me assured me that as we were inspecting the car those dents were not there. When I called the dealership on this matter they stated the car was sold as is and they were not going to fix the problem. A couple months passed and winter came. I noticed the car was extremely bad in the snow. The front wiper was broken and the car?s gage that should register on the assist area was going to charge instead and it felt like the car was losing power. That is when I brought the car to Middletown Honda. I brough the car to Middletown Honda and thold them about the problems. The service department employee, John Esposito had the mechanics check the car. They didn?t have time to properly check for the problems and so Mr. Espisito gave me a rental car to use until the following day. He called me the next day and stated that the warrantee for the Honda Certification was not in my name. He stated that the car was not listed as Honda Certified. He also told me that the tires were bald and dry rotated, the filters were black, the car was out of alignment, there was no back windshield wiper and the front one was rotted as well. Mr. Esposito made several calls to help me with the Warrantee issue. I called Cooperate Honda and filed a case against Hudson Honda for their dishonesty and began a fight to get them to pay Middletown Honda for the necessary repairs. This process took three weeks. During that time I made several calls to Mr. Esposito, Corporate Honda, and Hudson Honda trying to resolve this issue. Proff of the problems were sent to Husdon Honda and only after given no choice they were made to pay. Hudson Honda are dishonest!

Rich Willis bad dealer

by from West new york |

In 2011 I bought a maintence plan for my car . I was told everything was covered . I went to get brakes on my car I find out Rich Willis switched my contract From maintence to extended service . When confronted he lied and disrespected me . Others took me in the back room an pretty much told me there was no way I could remember what was discussed at the time of sale . I wanted to leave they refused to give me something in writting detailing the specs of this plan I was tricked into buying . I was there from 12:30 until 5:08 pm and they denied service to my car I was shaking so much from anxiety . Then the general manger came around saying take my card your car was serviced the cashier up front stated no service was performed I went in the green key box took my key and forced my way out !!!! I can't believe this could happen to me . Tagged in 041

Great and Timely Service

by from Jersey City, NJ |

Bought my Fit from this dealership and was very happy with it. Had to bring it in for an oil change and the 5,000k service. Took about two hours but I was able to drop it off and they called me within 30 minutes of finishing up to let me know that I could come back to get it at my convenience. Liked the customer service effort.

Helpful staff

by from Belleville, NJ |

I was in the market for a Honda Accord. Steve respected my privacy and did not hound me. He provided me with industry specific reviews and put me in touch with Rich Willis who was kind enough to locate a Honda Accord within a 50 mile radius. Great experience! I definitely recommend this dealership.

They were wonderful. The lady said welcome home when I walked in the showroom which I thought was kind of funny. But, they did everything they could to make me so comfortable and welcome. Thank you Hudson Honda, I love my Accord
