great service no gimmicks

Call travis on the phone and ask if he could lease me a Pilot fo X down ans X per month and he said yes he could. Went to the dealership and signed the deal. No problems no double talk. He meet us in the lobby and said here is the deal you ask, for let's sign the paperwork

Contact Dealer to Determine Exterior Color

The listing for the car said it was a new listing. The color of the exterior and interior was not described. Via Cars.com I asked the dealer to email me the color of the car. I also stated that my phone was broken and do not call. I did this as I am getting calls from all over the US because of my putting in my phone number on another auto website. They replied to via email and then called. I did not answer. Two days later I got another call from the customer service asking if I was satisfied. I frankly told her I did not want to be called.

Ringing Endorsement

Seconding the Review below. Travis Quadlander is all about customer service. It took one phone call, and 30 minutes at the dealership to get the exact car I was looking for, at the best price in town. They beat every other price in a 150 mile radius, even with the extended warranty, and beat all the online "true market value" tools, too. It could not have been simpler, easier, more convenient or a better experience to purchase from David McDavid Honda in Irving. Once I told them I would be buying the car, Travis Quadlander made sure everything was taken care of, from top to bottom. This is what buying a car is supposed to be like.

Recheck the check list!

I felt safe going to buy a 2013 Odyssey with only 9,700 miles w/o someone (husband) along. Will not do that again. Their "certified" check list had at least 6 things checked as perfect w/o blemish. That was not the case. Had to take back the next day to fix the horn, cruise control, nick in windshield and other misc problems. Did not have a problem with the salesperson, but whoever "certified" this car as a "certified technician" needs to be retrained. Just found a large scrape under the front fender that you had to get under the car to see. Blemish free was hardly what it was.

Classic bait and switch as a operating procedure

After being told that the used car I liked was still available, I drove 120 miles to make a purchase, The car had long been sold, "but they had several others I would like". I walked away and would never do business with those who make it a practice to lie to me. The con man also known as a salesman, had several awards for salesman of the month. So I gather that this behavior is standard practice at McDavid dealerships.

Deceptive dealership

I recently bought my Odyssey with these guys. Excellent service selling the vehicle and taking my money. As part of this selling, I was sold a care package by Brandy. After I paid nearly $1000 dollars for this warranty, I did not receive the supplies even after more than 2 months as part of this warranty. I left at least 3 voice mails over a period of 3 weeks for Brandy but she did not return my calls. So, I went to this dealers website and sent in my question about the warranty and Voila, I got a response from Brandy. However, I asked a question in my email and she is back to not answering. If this is the kind of response we get for basic service, I am not sure what kind of service these guys will provide for a true claim. Beware of these guys and think long and hard before you spend your money here!

Deceptive Sales Practices

A salesperson from David Mcdavid responded to a general internet request I had sent out for pricing info on the Honda Odyssey. The sales person sent me a number as a no-haggle internet price. The price was good, about $1k less than others. I told him I was interested and asked what colors he had available. He said he could have any color within 24 hours. After that I called to make an appointment. I confirmed the price and told him which color I wanted. The next day, 2 hours before my appt. I called to confirm the appt. time, price, and which color he would have ready. When I arrived, he said the car was coming from Arlington. After spending a lot of time on paperwork looking at another (though more upgraded model), he said he realized the car coming from Arlington had some add ons such as tinted windows, pin stripe, etc and would actually be $1K more. I said I would go with another color for the lower price, he said there were no vehicles that didn't have the add ons such as tinted windows, pin stripe, etc. So he essentially had wasted 3+ hours of my time. He had lured me with a price but had no product. Mr. McDavid came in as well, and said he could not help us, which indicated to me this is their sales model coming from the top down.

This dealer is AWFUL!! Walked in and the people asked for my license as soon as I got there. Person assigned to me was trying to have a conversation with someone else as I introduced myself. I set up an appointment to see a civic and they didn't even have the car there. The salesman walked in without telling me anything so i decided to leave as well. As I pulled out he ran to my car and begged me to say. He said he was "talking to his manager" and "looking for the keys". I was done with them from the second i got there. Don't waste your time there!
