Mine is a different experience at Sport City Toyota. In Dec' 2014 I went with my 6 months old daughter and wife and purchased a certified SUV from Sport City Toyota, the sales man while negotiating always said value package is included. Not once and he repeatedly said the value package is included in the price and said this is something that I should consider and so I finally agreed and made a deal at $XX, XXXX amount. It got very late when the deal was finalized almost to complete closing time at night and even I wanted to go home as I was having my little daughter in that cold weather(December month). All paper work was completed and I got the car with me. Some time later i.e. after few months one of my colleague wanted to buy Honda CR-V or Toyota Rav 4 so he wanted to know the price and other details of my car. So when I checked the paper work I realized that I was overcharged. I was charged separately for the Value package, I immediately tried to check with my sales person via email and phone call. He said to contact Finance dept., so I called Toyota financial services they could not locate my account, they asked me to call some other office and I tried to reach them no help probably because I got my car refinanced by DCU bank. I called my sales person back then he said I should call Finance dept of the dealership. Since I am not aware of all such things I was trying to reach different people. I tried to reach finance dept via chat and phone calls, no positive response and after few trails I went to dealer ship on a weekend along with my friend and spoke to a person from finance dept. He said he will check my records and came with a document saying yes I was charged separately for Value Package. So I asked for a refund for a mistake that happened. We are all humans we can make mistakes, so I requested him can I get my refund back. He says there is a fees for used cars(this fees is less than value package price). So I asked refund the difference amount, he said let me check what exactly happened and why I was charged like this and he said "I will get back to you on Monday". Days passed weeks passed, no response in the mean time I was trying to reach them via emails and chat conversations from Sport City web portal. There was no response. All I used to get calls for car sales only and not for my issue So again I went with my family to meet the person who checked my account details and who said will get back to me. He checked my account, and said you have your initials on this paper for $XX, XXXX amount. He gave me a photo copy of it and said to keep the photo copy. I was surprised and shocked for his answer. The same person who said "yes the mistake happened and I was over charged" why he was not accepting it, he was the one who said there is separate charge for used car may be he added that and all.. If we go to Walmart, Costco, Kohls or any store even a convenient store guy would also refund the money if there is any mistake that happened for a particular transaction. I wonder why Sport City Finance Dept guy is not willing to refund. I told him that it was his mistake to add money for the value package and it was my mistake to not to check at that time. I checked with my other colleagues at work and they all asked me to write a review so that any customer who does business with SPORT CITY will be more careful and will be even more careful for the purchases made during the late evening to closing time. If I was incorrect, a) the sales person would have right away told me and said value package is separate price, rather he said to contact finance dept b) Finance dept guy would have told me on my first in person visit itself that there was no mistake, rather he said yes there is price charged separately for value package($XXX) and said he will check and get back to me and no response. SO GUYS BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU BUY A VEHICLE AT LATE EVENING!!
