VERY HAPPY with my purchase

"The Old Bait and Switch Routine"

This has been the worst experience my husband and I have ever had trying to buy a new car. We traveled 50 miles one way as repeat customers to buy a 2014 Outlander from Mark Mitsubishi Scottsdale. We had the pleasure of having a salesman of Jayson and Sales Manager of John. We could not settle up with the numbers that we wanted to pay, so we left the building, a little unhappy and frustrated that we could not make a deal. On the way home (50 more miles) we were just thinking of what we need to do to make this deal. Over the next 4 days, I exchanged Text messages with Jayson and he finally texted me that they came up with a FIRM DEAL of $25K out of the door. Jayson convinced us that he and John talked it over and that the deal was FIRM and locked. Jayson was the one that contacted us first after we left the dealership the first time, and kept texting us to make a deal. We were not going to drive another 100 miles round trip, just to leave with no deal. Jayson reassured us one more time that the deal was firm and honored on the same car that we test drove and with all the same options. His exact words were "Everything exacting the same." We went to our bank and got a Cashiers Check for 25K and traveled the 50 miles to the dealership. This is when our worst day of buying a car started. First, John (Sales Manager) was not there and we had the displeasure of working with Chuck (another Sales Manager). Jayson greeted us and then went to talk to Chuck and after about 15 minutes, Jayson came back to the cube and told us that Chuck would not make the deal and Chuck did not even have the gall to come and tell it to us himself. He left it up to a rookie salesman to deliver the bad news. As our voices became louder, Chuck finally leisurely came over to see what was going on. NOW THE SHOW BEGINS...Chuck was completely unprofessional, rude and would not back up the offer made by his salesmen or his other sales manager. He called it a mistake and if a deal is too good to be true, then it must be too good and the price marked should not be honored. He was throwing out clichés right and left. He said if a product is marked wrong, should the seller take the hit and sell the product for what it is priced at, I said absolutely. After more shouting, he finally picked up the phone and handed to me and dared me to find a dealership that will make this type of deal, during the whole time, he was trying to sell us a different car at a lower price and telling us that the one that we picked out was a 30K vehicle. He was using his old school BAIT AND SWITCH techniques that he learned many, many years ago. Well, it was not going to work with me. I was not backing down and he was not either, we were getting nowhere. He was yelling at me telling me that nobody would honor this deal. This meeting with Chuck went on for about 15-20 minutes, until he told me that me yelling at him didn't bother him, because he could holler right back. I had enough, my husband and I took our 25K Check, the title of the car, our trade-in Eclipse and drove over to Big Two Mitsubishi in Mesa and bought the same car for the exact 25K price with no hassle. So, Chuck watch your words because it can happen and it did. Our brand new Copper 2014 Outlander SE is in our garage without the "Mark Mitsubishi" plates on them - Thank goodness. We will NEVER buy another car from any of Mark's dealerships even if it is a truck, a car, trailer, boat, wagon or bicycle. Your business is not worth my money and I will make sure that I tell all my friends that I had a wonderful experience at BIG TWO. Your business must be really good for you to be able to turn CASH paying customers towards the door without making a deal. Too bad, since we are looking for second Mitsubishi Car and it will NOT BE BOUGHT FROM A MARK DEALERSHIP; YOUR LOSS, BIG TIME (Writing a check to BIG TWO for 25K felt SO GOOD).. Excellent Customer Service and Friendly

Everyone in the dealership was friendly, hard-working, and personable. I appreciated the thorough explanation about the vehicle I purchased, the paperwork, and car features. It was completely transparent. Joseph was the sales person I worked with. He was a true professional and treated me with respect. He was not pushy and answered all of my questions. Unlike some of the previous experiences I've had, there was never a time I felt pressured. I never though it was possible to purchase a car in such a friendly environment. I would recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership to anyone, including family and close friends.
