Great selling experience

Garage Kept has sold 3 cars for me in the last few months. In all three cases AJ was responsive, flexible, friendly and great to deal with. He took care of some cosmetic repairs. The process was very easy for me. The cars sold pretty quickly. I ended up getting quite a bit more on each car than I would have through a dealer trade in. I'd highly recommend using Garage Kept to sell cars.

Great Experience

My experience with Garage Kept Motors was excellent. AJ really took good care of me. He provided the Carfax before I requested it, gave me the background/history with the owner and made the transaction very easy. I would welcome the opportunity to have others call me for a personal reference.

INCREDIBLE SELLING AND SERVICE EXPERIENCE

I brought AJ my '87 Grand Wagoneer to sell a couple months back. It had some issues, which AJ first noted, then made recommendations in order of priority of what should be done to put the car in the best shape for sale. As if that were not enough, he then coordinated those repairs and enhancements which I approved, and even paid for them up front as part of our deal to get the highest sale price. The car sold for well more than I expected, and after settling up for the repairs and sales fees, I pocketed way more than my original asking price. The greatest part was that all this occurred though no effort of my own, other than a phone call of inquiry to Garage Kept Motors. I will definitely be doing business with AJ again, and telling everyone I can of my fantastic experience. I had always thought of selling our cars as such a hassle, was not very good at it, and never seemed to get the price I had in mind. Not anymore, and further, this entire sale process was actually fun. Give AJ a call, and he will do you right.

Great Purchasing Experience

Great purchasing experience (2011 Denali XL) from Garage Kept Motors. Before seeing the vehicle in person we viewed photos on the Garage Kept Motors website. There were tons of photos and to our pleasant surprise the photos represented the vehicle very accurately. Price was fair and transaction was easy. We will use Garage Kept Motors again.

Good Experience

I bought a 65 Mustang Convertible through AJ. I found him honest and easy to work with. He had some problems getting the title from the owner, but he saw things through and got me my car. He facilitated some minor repairs on the car and worked with me to get it delivered to my home. There we some minor issues with the car that I was unaware of when I received it, but this is more a reflection of my inspector not doing a good job than AJ.

Late for our appt and misrepresented the car

After stumbling across AJ's website, Garage Kept Motors, my husband and I were very excited to check out the Subaru Legacy he had for sale. The photos showed an immaculate car, and when we called to ask about it AJ told us there were only a few 'cosmetic' flaws with the car, most notable some scratches on the bumper. Still excited to see the car, we set up an appointment for a few days later. We live an hour away, but when we arrived, AJ was not there. We waited in the seating area of a car detailing shop, and were told by reception that he'd be there in 10 minutes. We were a bit irritated by the wait, especially since we both had to be at work in a few hours. 40 minutes later, he finally arrives - in the car. He tells us he's been coaching soccer and needed to unload some boxes from the back of the car, and that's why he was late. What? He shows us the car, and we immediately see painted-over rust spots in the rear quarter. There's rust all around the car, and a rust hole from the rear wheel well to the back door. I get worried. He hands us one key to the car, stating that there's only one key and if we wanted key-less entry we could contact Subaru. On the website, he lists key-less entry. Whatever. I open up the car and right away see that this car is not detailed and has crumbs and dirt on the seats and floor (ironic and heavily disappointing since he works out of a car detailer). Also, the remote release for the trunk is BUSTED. I ask about it, and he tells me the trunk is broken - as in, it doesn't even open. Not even with a key, and not only that, you can't even drop down the seats from inside the car - the trunk could be in any condition. He tells me it's "only a $50 fix". Honestly, if it's such a cheap fix, why not FIX IT BEFORE YOUR CUSTOMER SHOWS UP. The odometer's miles were up in the 210,xxx kilometers - higher than the 209,xxx pictured on his site. It looks that this may now be AJ's daily driver. The upholstery on the doors were ripped, and the interior light on the driver's door was busted out. The floor mats were incredibly worn. On his website, AJ states that this car was 'loved' by it's previous owner. I worry about AJ's definition of love. From seeing the exterior and interior, and the general lack of awareness or consideration from AJ, I know I don't want the car. I don't want to test drive it. The general condition of the car aesthetically told me that the person who owned this car didn't care for the interior or exterior- so it's likely they didn't care about the parts under the hood. TL;DR Excited to see immaculate Subaru, drive an hour, AJ arrives late in busted Subaru that seems to be his daily driver.

My apologies for my tardiness. I was trying to fix the unfortunate situation of a vehicle part breaking right before a showing. In hindsight, I should have called right when it happened that morning. I'm happy to report this Outback sold to the next buyer later that day for full asking price.

AJ was great to work with and represented the vehicle truthfully. I took a chance traveling from another state to purchase this and was extremely happy with the purchase. He had the vehicle priced fairly and worked with me on the price. I would highly recommend AJ on any cars he offers for sale.

Great buying experience

I recently purchased a BMW X3 from A.J. As an out of state buyer I had recently been burned on a different purchase attempt that fell through after I had paid for and flown out to Reno, NV. When I approached A.J. about the BMW I was a little apprehensive I would have another bad experience. To my pleasure the purchase process was not only painless, but pleasant. I asked A.J. to take the X3 to a local repair shop of my choosing to get a pre-purchase inspection completed before closing the deal. A.J. went out of his way to keep the inspection appointment. Then, due to conditions out of our control it looked like the agreed upon repairs would not be done in time for my arrival and pickup of the X3. A.J. worked out an alternative deal that was completely to my satisfaction. Ultimately, the required parts arrived in time for the repair to be completed. I arrived on our agreed upon date for inspection and final pickup of the X3. Everything was as stated and the repairs were expertly completed. I would purchase my next used vehicle from A.J. without any hesitation. A.J. was honest and straight forward during the entire sale process. Once the sale was complete it would be reasonable to expect a lack of interest in the buyer by a used car sales person. In this case, I continued to get excellent service after the fact. Two weeks after the purchase the original seller of the X3 found the vehicle manuals. He gave them to A.J. A.J. then proceeded to send them by 2 day FedEx delivery at no cost to me. Awesome! Thanks for the great buying experience A.J.

Great Experience!!!

I enlisted A.J. to detail my Lexus SUV prior to putting it up for sale. He told me that he also offered a service whereby he could also take care of the entire sale for me - including taking pictures, putting up ads, taking calls from interested buyers, and ultimately handling the final financial transaction. The fees were extremely reasonable, so I went ahead with the full service - detail to sale. I couldn't have been more pleased. The car sold for exactly what I hoped to get out of it - and it was totally hassle-free for me. In fact, after I dropped off the car for detailing, I literally never saw it again. A.J. handled everything - and the next time I saw him, he handed me a check. Incidentally he also sold my buyer's car for her! He was a pleasure to work with - on the spot responsive, professional, honest, and ultimately successful in what I hired him to do. I would recommend him and his services, without any reservation whatsoever. 100% satisfaction all the way!
