Do not shop here!

Do not shop here! This place was the absolute worst dealer I have ever dealt with. A week ago, I contacted them in regard to a 2018 Range Rover Supercharged. I explained to the salesman I was dealing with that I had a car I wanted to trade in and that it was paid off. They said it would work and to come in. I told them I was 3 and a half hours away and I wanted to be given an estimate of what I would receive for the trade in since 2 other dealers offered $19,000 and what the out the door cost for the Range Rover would be. I was then told he can't give me a trade in value out of thin air, and I would have to come in and as far as the out the door price, I would have to come in and speak with the finance manager. So we set a date that I would come in and since it was a few days out, I would have to put a $500 deposit down on the car so they could hold it. So Tuesday comes around and I called and told them my eta and was told to come another day since the banks closed at 6pm. That should have been the first red flag since every car I purchased in the past was after 6pm. We proceeded to set a date of Thursday. Thursday afternoon, I called and let them know that I was on my way. Once I got there, I immediately took it for a test drive. During the drive I was made aware of the front speakers being blown, the passenger door soft close wasn't working, and deep gouges in the paint surrounding the gas cap. The reason for the gouges was due to the gas cap being broken and unable to open unless you used a key. Another thing was the car was disgustingly dirty. There was chocolate in the carpet and food in the seats, even though I put down a deposit and let them know 5 hours in advance I was on my way. When I got back to the dealership, I explained the issues. They said they could ship me a gas cap after I bought the car and to drive it around for a few days to see if the blown speaker would fix itself and if the soft close motor would magically fix itself. When asked what sense that makes, I was told they would take $3,500 off. I agreed to proceed with the sale. Finally, I was brought the paperwork with a breakdown of the pricing. What it showed was completely different. The total for the car was $45,876. $6,865 was due to a warranty, gap insurance, registration, and a $1200 dealer fee. I subtracted that from the $45,876 and was left confused when that equaled $39,011. I asked the salesman why a car that supposed to be $29,500 was now $10,000 more. He went and got another guy from the back and the man told me the increase was due to them not being able to get me qualified for the loan unless they added $10,000. I told him I was fine and no longer wanted the car. Once I left, I called my uncle who has been in the car business for over 30 years and explained what I was told. He said he has never heard of a bank that wouldn't finance a loan unless the dealer added 1/3 of the car value into the loan. Needless to say, they thought me coming almost 4 hours away, I would be desperate and lack enough knowledge to identify the insane price increase. Save your time and money.
