Pleasant Experience

My first experience with Olathe Ford was a misunderstanding in scheduling. I could have left a bitter customer, but Herb Taylor turned all of that around. What could have been a wasted morning turned into a very pleasant buying experience. Herb took care of everything and within a week I'm driving my new Ford Focus. It's beautiful and drives like a dream. Thanks, Herb, for getting me the right car and making it all seamless.

Nice truck did not care for the run around

I understand some of the salesmanship that is needed for a car sales person. I do not care for the trips to several different offices to try and sell me things I don't want or need such as a extended service coverage. I have also recieved several letters wishing me well on my purchase and all of that but the person on the bottom does not even sign them.

Olathe Ford rocks! They really are all about the customers. They understand you are lookng for a great vehicle at a great price and they get it done for you. Always pleasant. The service guys are very courtious and take the time to explain anything you want to know. Of course I always recommend this place to my friends.

Worth the drive

I have never had a bad experience at Olathe Ford. We purchased our MKZ and a new Expedition. I drive 70 miles round trip for service and it is well worth it. The employees are always courteous, helpful and pleasant

Let The Buyer Beware

Buying a used car from Olathe Ford was a very disappointing experience. One of the most disappointing aspects was the car's poor condition when I picked it up. The inside was very dirty (i.e. crumbs, dirt & dog hair). The salesperson gave me several reasons why the car was not clean. For example, he said there had been a lot of turnover implying that personnel did not have adequate training. Next, he said the "kids back there" just did not clean as well as we would have. This implied that these employees did not have an adequate work ethic to give good service. Excellent service was way beyond reasonable expectation. The sales person told me to bring the car back when the weather was better and they would clean the car again. Why would I expect them to clean the car any better than what they did the first time? I looked under the hood and found the battery terminals to be caked battery corrosion. I expected that during the car's pre-certification this would have been caught and rectified. There were several other small things that should have been taken care of before the car was given to me. Good customer service means paying attention to details. I have found the term "Ford Certified Pre-owned Vehicle" means very little. I found my experience to be a "let the buyer beware" experience. This dealership should not be used as a trusted advisor. I took the car to Waterway to be cleaned. These "kids" did a very good job cleaning. Maybe Olathe Ford should outsource car cleaning to Waterway. I cleaned the batter terminals. It was fast and easy for me to do. I have had the car for 1 week. I expect more problems to arise as I drive the care more. I am very disappointed in Olathe Ford. Every now and then a person will have a bad experience with a car dealer. I may have been the unlucky person this time. My singular advice to those who read this review is to demand excellence from this dealership. Walk away at the first sign of anything less than excellence. There are a lot of good people selling new and used cars. You do not have to accept poor quality. Go to Bob Allen Ford or CarMax. I have had excellent experiences with these dealerships in the past. Olathe Ford was a poor choice. I should not have given them so many chances to get better.

To: Let the Buyer Beware I apologize for your vehicle not being cleaned properly. We have a thorough inspection and detail process but somehow we dropped the ball. We have a high tenure of Sales, Detail, and Service Personnel, some of or staff has been employed at Olathe Ford Lincoln for over 15 years. I am not sure why our Sales Consultant made the comments he did. We do appreciate you doing the review. Most of our Customer reviews have been very positive. However, sometimes we do fall short and you doing the review will allow us to correct an issue that we possibly may have. In an effort to improve so this doesn?t happen again, would you provide me with the name of the Sales Consultant that assisted you with your purchase? This will allow me to discuss the situation with the Sales, Detail, and Service Personnel on why we didn?t do a proper detail prior to you taking delivery of your vehicle. Great experience

I purchased a 2007 Suburban from the Olathe Ford outlet. I worked with Kim and Ken. The process really couldn't have been better. I called Kim after seeing the vehicle online and let her know I only had 30 minutes and would be there at noon for a test drive (in the snow). When I arrived, Kim already had the Suburban out front, warmed up and a temporary tag was on it. While I was test driving she had my trade in appraised and numbers were ready upon my return. There really wasn't much negotiating for two reasons. First was that their asking price was very fair based on KBB and my extensive research on the Suburban before I came on the lot. Their trade in offer was very fair as well. Overall... The Suburban is excellent, Kim and Ken were terrific and professional, and the financial terms (asking price, trade in, financing, etc) were all very fair. If vehicle purchasing experiences were always like this, the industry would be well served. A terrific experience.

Didn't Think It Was Possible

Having been through this process several times before, I was prepared for the un-knowledgeable, impatient and pushy salesperson, and the finance manager who couldn't care less about our personal situation. Instead we got just the opposite: very well prepared salesperson who took the time to find the vehicle we wanted, even when we changed our mind, as well as a well informed finance manager who has the right touch with the banks. Thank you Olathe Ford for changing my mind about traditional car buying experiences.

We LOVE Olathe Ford!

My husband and I have both bought vehicles from Olathe Ford in the past 18 months, and we will NEVER buy elsewhere! These are the nicest, most helpful people. I bought a used Ford Escape, and my husband bought a new F-150. In both experiences we were treated like royalty. We feel like part of the Olathe Ford family, and we know they will always take care of us. If you need a car buying experience you can enjoy, from a dealership you can trust, these guys are guaranteed to make you happy. From test drive to finance, to repairs and service, our experiences have been so pleasurable. We always come out of the dealership in shock of the wonderful care we have received. We will continue to always do business with these guys in the future. This is saying a lot, because we live about as far away from Olathe as you can get in Kansas - but we are so pleased - any drive is well worth it! Ask for Jim Sprinkle - he is so knowledgeable and willing to help. He has really taken care of us.
