Adrian made buying my new beloved Forester "Cletus" a wonderful and entertaining experience. I am a return customer and this dealership is not a dealership at all. Its more like a place you head to when you want interesting conversation, to get out of the house or you know buy the vehicle you always wanted. They are friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and above all they are caring. The process of buying both of my vehicles from Southpoint Subaru was quite fast. Very comfortable and I experienced zero stress. I rate them low on the pressure and the highest possible rating on the service. The whole team Ethan my first salesperson, Adrian my second, and Joseph my vehicle technology teacher are star players in the game of dream vehicle finders. Let's not forget the staff members that also made the experience worth every second and penny. Shout out to you all!!! I will definitely be purchasing all my future vehicles here. I will and am telling everyone I know or meet to head up there and get their next car from Adrian!!!! Thank you Southpoint Subaru for treating me with respect, kindness, for laughing at my ridiculous humor.

My “second buying new car experience” here at Durham

My “second buying new car experience” here at Durham Hendrix Subaru has proven so easy and centered on making me pleased with all my wishes. KeKe has that “easy can do/ will do attitude” that made it feel like a game where her customer always wins. Love that girl! Then came trying to teach this OLD girl how to operate her new car! Technology seems to have passed me by but they know this and have just the right person waiting to catch us. Joseph has that quiet, gentle, unhurried disposition that takes you slowly through this process!! What a team I was blessed to have! Thanks to all of you there in Durham!

We recently moved from Indiana, where we had an incredible Subaru dealership that always took great care of our vehicles. After our experience with Hendrick Subaru Southpoint, I can confidently say I do not trust this dealership to maintain either of our Subarus. I originally scheduled a 30k service for my 2024 Crosstrek based on their strong Google reviews. My wife went in for an oil change and tire rotation using their express service. She confirmed those services with the tech, Ryan, but later received a quote for around 250 dollars. That immediately raised red flags. After reviewing the invoice, I noticed they added a cabin air filter without asking her. This felt like they were trying to sneak it in and, honestly, made me question whether they assumed she would not catch it. On top of that, they charged nearly 51 dollars in labor for a job that takes five minutes. For comparison, the oil change labor was about 65 dollars. That ratio makes no sense. There was also a 13.91 miscellaneous service charge that Ryan could not clearly explain. He simply said it is something they always do. That response does not build trust. I stayed reasonable but firm when discussing this with Ryan, and rather than adjusting the charge, he said they could just remove the filter. That made it worse. They were willing to undo the job entirely rather than work with me on a charge that clearly felt inflated. It showed a lack of flexibility and understanding. I asked specifically for the service manager to contact me directly. Instead, Michael Milligan pulled my wife aside in person to explain things, which felt like an intimidation move and completely ignored my request. When he did call me, he focused on justifying the charges and policies rather than listening to my actual concerns. I was not upset about the part cost. I was frustrated by the lack of transparency and poor handling of the situation. To make things worse, after they reinstalled the old filter, the car started making a humming noise. They claimed it was due to the old filter being damaged during reinstallation. We ended up having to replace it again, and as soon as she left the dealership, the noise came back. We finally took it to a different Subaru dealer to get the issue properly resolved. That was the final straw. I canceled the 30k service I had originally booked. But more than that, this experience also cost them a potential vehicle sale. We are currently in the market for another Subaru, and there is no chance I would ever buy it from this dealership after what happened. I think that matters from a business standpoint. A poor service experience should not cost your sales team opportunities, but in this case it absolutely has. If you plan to visit this dealership, be very clear about what you are authorizing and double check every charge on your invoice. What happened to us should not happen to anyone else. This kind of behavior needs to be corrected and addressed. We left unhappy, and we still feel that way. Zero trust in their service, and now, zero interest in doing any future business with them.

Vince was very well informed about the Outback, very

Vince was very well informed about the Outback, very friendly and patient with our questions. In general, the staff was very efficient with no pressure. During the training session on the follow up visit, Joseph was well organized with his presentation and answered our question. The only frustration was with the Outback radio off/on control which was very frustrating to turn off without turning off the entire screen. This radio control makes no sense! There should be one knob that controls just the radio off/on and volume without affecting the screen.
