"The 2012 Dodge Challenger might look and move like a muscle car, but its ability to double as a grand touring coupe confirms its status as the most livable of the reborn muscle cars"

"Out of the three recent modern muscle cars, (Camaro, Mustang, Challenger) The Challenger beats all in exterior looks. At a distance, you have to take a second look to tell if it is a modern model or 1970. This can not be said about the others. Interior is nice but could be more vintage looking. I bought the R/T with the 5.7 Hemi. Very good power considering the car is over 2 tons. I like the size and weight. Makes for a great daily driver and comfortable for several hour drives. The other two might beat it slightly in 0-60 and 1/4 mile, but I get so many looks and compliments in my Header Orange R/T that I don't think Mustang or Camaro would bring. Over all very happy and gas mileage compares to my old 2006 Cadillac CTS V-6 which I sold to buy the 2012 R/T"

"like this CLASSIC model Challernger, all good, excellent stero and navigation, the only complaint so far after 3000 miles is the seats are seriusly uncomfortable, cant imagine why so little attention was paid to the seats driver and passenger, otherwise very pleasant, Hemi is nice motor, 5 speed automatice is ok, car is larger than I am used to but I can live with it. good value for the money"

"I purchased this Blue Streak with silver-white stripes as a gift for my son. The test drive was unbelievable. I have never driven any vehicle this fast, powerful and agile before!! At 470 horses under the hood, Mopar 5 speed auto and Brembro brakes this car would be a bargain at twice the price. I purchased it immediately after the test drive. My son (a law student) is in love with it. It is clear that Dodge decided to build a world class, super high performance sports car that puts to shame all of it's competitors from Ford, Shelby, Chevrolet, Infiniti, Nissan, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes and others. To get any real competition you would have to compare it with Ferrari and Bentley at more than twice the price. Dodge hit it out of the park with the 2012Challenger SRT-8!!! Bravo!!!"

"I love this car! It's comfortable, performs great, and is just big enough to have a good presence on the road. The only problem that I have had is the blind spot, but if you use your mirrors you will be fine."

"I fell in love with the retro looks of the Challengers a while back, as it's been said before it's the classic muscle car look with the features of the new car technology. I bought an R/T Classic w/ the 5 speed auto. The 5.7 Hemi has more than plenty of power, and the ride is excellent. I did get the Super Trak Pack, which featured upgraded suspension and brakes, if you're on the fence drive one with and one with out, and for me it was a hands down choice to go with the STP. The 730N Nav that I got with my unit is very nice. The 430N Nav unit is a different unit, that was in the original vehicle i test drove. The 430 is garmin powered, and looks like most of the dash mount garmin GPS units i've seen. The one feature it has that I liked was it had the speed limits on the screen for each road. My garmin I had for 4 years had this, and it is taking some re-adjustment to get used to having to look for speed limit signs on the road (usually I don't look very close b/c I'm used to it being on the GPS instead!) But that's not a real big problem, and it is FAR surpassed by the traffic features of the 730N, I hate sitting in traffic and it's great to have that auto re-route for traffic feature, once you have it, i guarantee you won't ever want to go back! I just didn't realize how DIFFERENT the two navs were in terms of what the maps look like and what's displayed. (I wish someone had mentioned it in a review before I bought mine so here I am!) As for style: It has that retro look down, both inside and out. The cluster guages look great, I find the speedo is a little different than my trucks were, so I don't at first glance immediately recognize what speed i'm going, easily avoided by using the digital speedo though. I'm sure after I've had it a while more I'll get more used to it. And of course driving it down the road it gets tons of attention, a real head turner. I find the seats super comfy, and there is plenty of lumbar adjustment. Also there is plenty of truck space! The gas economy is ok, of course, it's a V8. I find i get about what the epa estimate is. (16/25) If you're super worried about gas milage, I would say you would probably be better of looking at a different vehicle to be honest. For a comparison to my previous toyota and nissan pick ups, it far surpassed the 5.6L (V8) nissan titan, and gets as good if not better than the 3.4L (V6) the toyota tundra had, with literally double the power. Of course as technology improves I'm sure we'll only see the numbers get better. Overall: I absolutely love the car, I do wish I could of kept the truck as well, I don't like not having both, but for 99% of my vehicle needs it really gets the job done. The only feature I would of liked to see was a back up camera. Although I hear that they should be comming with optional back up parking sensors on the MY 13's and according to literature I got from my dealer mopar has an accessory that you can add called park sense rear parking senors."

"My new Dodge Challenger has been a lot of fun so far, having owned it for about 7 weeks. It is a great value looking killer on the street without the big price tag. I bought the 6 cylinder model with the Sport Package and added two white stripes aftermarket. It looks like the R/T model at half the price and better gas mileage. It holds 5 passengers comfortably when I want to take the whole family out. The Satellite Radio is awesome and I love the U-Connect phone feature for safety and convenience. It has averaged 18 Mpg which is lower than expected, combined Hwy and City. And the auto on light sensor has an intermittent problem which warranty will take care of. Overall I am thrilled with the car."

"I drove the 2012 Camaro and Mustang. I bought the 2012 Challenger. This car is incredible. I get complements on it all the time. People drive by and give be a thumbs up. I see jealous dads looking out the corners of their eyes as they pull up in their minivan. I am a father of three. My children love riding in dad's car. It is very comfortable to ride in and I am not a small person. It looks like a total muscle car. People tell me that a lot. The V-6 has a lot of power. Does 0-60 in around 6 seconds. I live in a city so more power is not necessary. I have stomped on the gas several times and it GOES!!. I would buy another one in a heartbeat and recommend this car to anybody who wants a cool muscle car with good mileage. I average 27.5 driving to work."

"I would have to say the SXT Plus by far??this is the first time I purchase a brand new car and I am beyond impressed with the 2012 Challenger. I was going to sign on the dotted line for a base model challenger (SXT) but realized I would run out and try to buy rims and other accessories to dress it up and decided to go for the SXT Plus which had 20 inch chrome wheels, upgraded stereo system, leather everything etc. Not to mention unlike the other popular coupes these days this challenger gives you all you can handle on regular gas! I cant say enough about it, people stop me and ask me about the car all the time, I cant remember another time where I actually enjoyed driving a car as much as I do this one. I do get the questions about the HEMI all the time but I?m at total peace when I?m filling up to the tune of $54 lol. Don?t hesitate on this buy???"
