"'95 Dakota club cab five-speed, four-by, 3.9 liter V-six Except for replacing fuel pump after using a lot of ethanol (which the manual forbids), and a corroded wire in dash (that controlled everything-- from tach to lights), no problems after 162,000 miles. I've always used Castrol Syntec 100% synthetic and replaced plugs every year or so, depending on budgetary factors. Elegantly simple, reliable, frugal (four-by pickup for nineteen thou), good heat, AC, replaced radio with CD/radio. I also like its elegant simplicity better than the newest models, with their big expensive wheels. Even with higher petro prices on the horizon, I'd hate to sell it and it'll probably last until anti-gravity cars become available."
