"this is a blend of a fullsized pickup and a compact pickup. the interior is roomy and open, athough the interior looks basic, everything is nicely placed and easy to reach. this truck with the 5.2magnum is a rocket! the engine athough inheritibly noisy produces tons of of torq (around 300ftlbs) at low rps. the ride is harsh on bad roads, but nice and smooth on the highway. cornering is wide, but sure footed and handles more like a car than a truck, which might be due to the rack and pinion steering. its very reliable, and very eaisy to fix, i do my oil changes at home and did the breaks, starter and tune-up all at home within a half hour each."

"it is a very midrange truck, dodge has never been a very reliable company, but my truck lasted 180,000 miles with no major problems., it gets terrible gas mileage, my magnum v6 got 14 mpg. it is a good looking truck, especially with bigger tires on it, i had the sport edition so it was nice, just had no pickup at all, slow and burned alot of gas. They tend to run hot, but mine never overheated, mine in particular didnt have very many problems, but dodge generally uses substandard interior materials that break or tear in no time, but it is a decent truck."

"Bought this '96 Dakota used in 2004, been a great truck. Very little problems and other Dakota owners have all good things to say about their trucks."
