"I have been a Dodge/Jeep person all my life. I traded in my 2008 Jeep Wrangler for the 2011 Durango. I loved my Jeep but I tow both an enclosed trailer for my wood working projects and an open trailer for my ATV. The Wrangler could tow both but at times it was a chore to handle. I needed something with a larger engine but did not want to go back to a truck. I found my Durango with the Hemi engine in a Crew model and took it for a test drive and have not looked back. I put on the required 500 miles before towing a trailer and then another 500 miles towing a trailer at lower speeds for the total break-in period. It handled the open trailer with the ATV loaded with no problem at all, in fact I had to keep looking back to make sure the trailer was still there. I also like the seven seat capability, now I can take the daughter and family all in one vehicle. I have over 1200 miles on it now and tomorrow I head out to WY on my hunting trip. So far I am very pleased with the new redesigned Durango and all the nice bells and whistles that came with it. I am a computer programmer/tech so I love new electronic toys and this one has a lot of them."

"Never in my mind would I have thought I'd go to a Ford/Jeep dealer! I was driving a GMC Yukon XL but needed to down size! MY eye was attracted to a new truck called the Dodge Durango! I took it for a test drive and was sold! The performance, the look of it, the handling was perfect! Coming up with the new body style and front end looks of the Charger was brilliant! I'm proud to say I drive a Dodge! I get so many compliments and people looking at this new truck it's incredible!"

"We've had our 2011 Durango for a week and I love it so far. Traded in a 2006 Pontiac Montana and worth it. Also test drove the GMC Acadia but like the sportier and tighter feel of the Durango. Great vehicle!"

"I am the proud new owner of the new Dodge Durango citadel rwd. I am only 28 but needed something to haul the family around but also my youth needs to still be intact. There is nothing bad to say about this vehicle so far, 6,000 miles in so I don't know about the reliability but I am definitely enjoying every mile in it til then. If you are looking to spend 40k on an suv then this should definitely be on the list for test drives."

"So far got 15 miles in the odometer since picking it up yesterday, wow its just an awesome ride very smooth feels like an imported sport sedan handles and soaks the bumps and road imperfection perfectly. Got a lot of people staring and looking back at my Citadel because there are still few on the road. Everything on this vehicle is nice, quality fit and finish is top notch and outstanding which rivals that of the import makes. I got the hemi V8 with all the bells and whistles and still cheaper by 10k against the imports...sure gas prices have gone up but I bought it because I don't care, if gas prices is a concern then this is not the right car to drive. The verdict is still up as far as reliability I'm gonna stack it up against my former vehicle a 2000 Honda Odyssey which for 11 years and 132300 miles later been a problem free and reliable car. Been an import owner for a long time so this is my try to experience an American made vehicle and so far so good I'm impressed with the driving dynamics and overall quality of the Durango. Additionally I looked at other suv before settling down with the Durango namely the Acura MDX, Toyota Highlander, Land Rover and Ford Explorer. The MDX was IMHO was overpriced neglible advantage in fuel economy with the V6 over the hemi, Highlander was boring and pricey when adding some of the options. Land Rover was a nice ride but a gas guzzler, then the Ford Explorer has the stiffer ride for my taste and dash/instrument panel controls are either confusing and slow to manipulate, plus the Explorer's exterior front grill is polarizing I didn't see it as an attractive vehicle."

"We previously owned the 2006 model Durango SLT. Our Durango was so reliable we knew we wanted another Durango when it was time to buy. We wanted the limited package and a hemi. We drove into the local dealer to look at used limited editions and fell in LOVE with the styling of the new Durango. We test drove the Citadel model and WOW. This is not the old Durango! Ride is smooth and comfortable. All the options and more than we were looking for. The materials in the interior are top grade. Fantastic ride! We couldn't leave the lot with out it."

"I just bumped up to the new Dodge Durango 2011 from a Dodge Journey 2010...and so far I'm so happy I did! There is no comparison in almost every category. Although I was relatively happy with the Journey, we felt that with 3 kids already and 1 on the way it might be tight. I actually bought the Durango without test driving it, based on all of the reviews I read and the ride in the Journey. I am not disappointed one bit, and in fact the minute I drove out of the lot in the Durango, I turned to my wife and said "Now this is a sweet ride!" The Durango has many redeeming qualities: it's smooth riding, it is powerful enough (I got the Pentastar V-6), it is solid feeling on the road with no noticeable sway while cornering, and for a vehicle that size I felt very comfortable braking as needed and with total control. I also have a BMW 530xi, and I must say that I actually am having a tough time deciding which vehicle to drive! The interior is very comfortable and refined for the money. The power seats have a tremendous range of adjustment. I also like the steering wheel controls and feel. The roominess is terrific so far, although #4 is on the way so we will see once we have to hit the beach... But the ease of entry to the back, and the room back there was worth the bump up from the Journey. And by the way, the gas mileage so far is almost identical to the Journey. The other part that is awesome is the UConnect system! It's so user friendly and complete. The only problem is that the kids are driving me crazy telling me to push the voice recognition button so they can tell it what station to put on! And it understands commands very easily...ahhh technology. Anyway, so far it is fantastic all across the board. I hope that it holds up the way it has started off, although we got the extended warranty so I'm not really worried. If you are thinking about the Durango, I wouldn't hesitate at all."

"I now have 4000+ miles on my 2011 Hemi Durango, and I can assure you that this vehicle is everything Dodge/Chrysler said it would be. On the plus side I have to say the interior and exterior styling is excellent. There is plenty of room for 7 passengers, and the entry to the 3rd row seating is very easily accomplished. My wife descibes driving it as "The same as driving a car." The Hemi power is smooth and strong. I have a 24 foot pontoon boat which I have towed once with the Durango, and the trip was effortless. Some of the reviews I have read are not giving the 5 speed transmission much credit, but I haven't noticed anything to complain about. The shifting is smooth and quiet. The exhaust will give out a growl if you put your foot down! I have been able to exceed the "average" highway 20 MPG with averages showing as much as 23.8 on 3 trips that I have made. I only have a couple of negatives to say about the vehicle. the first one is no show stopper, but even though it is very easy to use it is sometimes difficult to see the radio/navigation screen. The second concern I have is that the side of the vehicle kind of bulges out, and there is no side protection to guard against other folks opening their doors and hitting mine. Overall, I think I got what I paid for, and more. This vehicle would have easily been "Truck of the Year" if it hadn't been for issues with previous models. The Durango is a winner and I highly reccommend it!!"
