"The only problem that I have is that it is not hybrid. I have a 2X4 therefore it spend gas similar to a sedan. But it is very spacius, I got it with 30000 for $15000 and I could not find a better deal for this SXT. For the last 3 month loving it."

"I bought this SUV new in 2009 and have had zero trouble with it. True, it is not a Lexus, but it is also less than half the price of a Lexus. I have the V6 and get a realistic 16-18MPG in town and 24-27MPG on the open road. I would highly suggest the Journey to anyone looking for a nice economical mid-sized SUV."

"Great car so far. My only complaint is that it's not very comfortable to drive. I'm on the shorter side (5'1) and it's difficult finding a comfortable seat position. Other than that, I like it."

"I am not one to write reviews, however my life is affected every day because of this car. I have had my car for two years now, and It has been in the shop 12 times and most of those times for numerous issues. I have tried to claim it a lemon but due to lemon laws it states that there needs to be a consecutive 3 times for the same problem, however I have had the electrical, stearing, tv, roaters, windows, more electical, rear wheels and now a recall with the front door panel air bag that has been on back order for 3 months. So no I do not have a consecutive 3 things.... Just recetly I was driving and all of a sudden all the warning lights came on flashing and beeping, the windshield wippers came on evern tho they were not turned on and would not shut off the navigation screen shut down, and the blinkers would not work. IT was terrifying to drive down a busy highway with that going on... Each time I reach out to the dealership, they say "we understand your frustration" but nothing comes from it. Now, my warrently is up so anything further that happens I am completley out of luck!!! I would rather drive a run down used car then deal with thhis any further. Do not buy this car!"

"I bought my 2009 Journey new and it now has over 42K miles on it and is now out of warranty. I replaced the front AND rear brakes before 25K miles. The silly little rearview/watch-your-kids mirror has been replace 4 (FOUR!) times and I still use a matchbook to keep it closed. I replaced the battery (which, by the way, is located in the front wheel well!) only to discover that my battery wasn't the problem. I still don't know why it won't start sometimes (like a couple of times a week) and I am still waiting for it to finish breaking down so that I can show the dealership that it is indeed not working. I have also had my horn (Yes, my horn!) replaced TWICE. There is also a short somewhere in my alarm that no one can find. My alarm will start blaring randomly when I go to disarm the car and no amount of button pushing or pleading will make it turn off. I end up having to pull the fuse under the hood! (Talk about embarassing in a parking lot full of people!) I thought all the extra storage bins would be handy, but most of them won't open and close properly. I will say that I like the room, the overall look, and the get-up-and-go of my Journey. I have the V6 and it gets reasonable gas mileage. (19-20 mpg) I like the stereo and the 6 disc player. But, all in all, I am VERY disappointed in this vehicle and only wish I'd done more research before buying it! I'll be trading it in as soon as I can!"

"I already have 140K, and have to say it was a great buy. With anything you will have your ups and downs...but for a vehicle brand new and under $20K..this give you a lot. I took the SE PLUS pkg and was worth every penny - mag wheels, fog lights, overhead storage, tinted widwows etc all included!"

"We like most things about the car except the ifront seat area, which has no space for purses, etc. when both seats are occupied. Also, noting the many complaints about the front brakes, Dodge has acknowledged this and will replace front brake pads and rotors, the first time, for $100 (or reimburse owner if they had paid for it.) Seating in 3rd seat is not very comfortable, and there is no cargo space when it's being used, but it works in a pinch, which is all we need it for. Handles very well, comfortable seats, good visibility, etc. A regulator in a rear window went bad and the we found the window broken. Took two trips to dealer to have regulator repaird and, as it turned out, the motor as well. A week later both rear windows stopped working altogether. Need to take it in again for them to diagnose and repair (still under warranty.) This sounds like a lot of complaints, but in fact we are pretty satisfied with the car. It's zippy and handles bad city streets pretty well."

"I have a 2009 Dodge Journey with 29,000 miles on it. I heard the brakes squeaking around 24,000 miles and took it to the dealership to find out I only had 10% of my brake pads remaining. They changed both the rotors and brakes pads. Then when it was time for my next oil change, I noticed a squeaking again. They once again had to change out the brakes and rotors. Thank goodness it is under warranty the way it is going through brake pads!"
