"I already have 140K, and have to say it was a great buy. With anything you will have your ups and downs...but for a vehicle brand new and under $20K..this give you a lot. I took the SE PLUS pkg and was worth every penny - mag wheels, fog lights, overhead storage, tinted widwows etc all included!"

"We like most things about the car except the ifront seat area, which has no space for purses, etc. when both seats are occupied. Also, noting the many complaints about the front brakes, Dodge has acknowledged this and will replace front brake pads and rotors, the first time, for $100 (or reimburse owner if they had paid for it.) Seating in 3rd seat is not very comfortable, and there is no cargo space when it's being used, but it works in a pinch, which is all we need it for. Handles very well, comfortable seats, good visibility, etc. A regulator in a rear window went bad and the we found the window broken. Took two trips to dealer to have regulator repaird and, as it turned out, the motor as well. A week later both rear windows stopped working altogether. Need to take it in again for them to diagnose and repair (still under warranty.) This sounds like a lot of complaints, but in fact we are pretty satisfied with the car. It's zippy and handles bad city streets pretty well."

"I have a 2009 Dodge Journey with 29,000 miles on it. I heard the brakes squeaking around 24,000 miles and took it to the dealership to find out I only had 10% of my brake pads remaining. They changed both the rotors and brakes pads. Then when it was time for my next oil change, I noticed a squeaking again. They once again had to change out the brakes and rotors. Thank goodness it is under warranty the way it is going through brake pads!"

"I have had my 2009 journey for over a year now and it has around 25,000 miles on it. It is a very attractive vehicle inside and out. The ride and handling are phenomenal, the steering is superb and feels like you are driving a luxury auto. Very versatile, I love all of the compartments everywhere. The only complaint I have with the car is the brakes, I was driving one day and I had to stop real short and when I hit the pedal it almost felt like it stuck down and the brakes made a loud squealing/vibrating noise. The dealer told me it was the anti-lock braking system kicking in but I know it wasn't because the wheels did not screech on the pavement and I know what a.b.s. sounds like and it wasn't that. Otherwise my best car yet."

"I have owned a 2009 Journey for a little over a year and my brakes and rotors need changed and there is only 17000 miles on the vehicle. I have had my journey into the dealership numerous times. Lucky for me that everything is under warrenty except the brakes. And I will be installing those. This is my third dodge that I have ever owned and I got rid of two of them. I will be trading the journey in shortly and will never buy another dodge again. I will stick with ford"

"I purchased this car one month ago. It had 27,000 miles on it. The car has been driven 400 miles and most of that from the service department. I had it six days before I took it to get checked for noise. Just like several commenters said, noise on the drivers side. It does not matter if turning, driving, or sitting idled, the car makes all kinds of noise. Dodge swears they can't hear it, and that nothing is wrong with it. I am having a problem trying to return it, but the dealership has worked with me in giving me a loaner car for most of the month. Thankfully, I purchased an extended warranty, cos I would bankrupt trying to fix this raggedy vehicle."

"I needed seating for 7, but did not want another minivan. I also did not necessarily want 4 wheel or all-wheel drive since I was concerned about mileage. This is the perfect vehicle! I can load it up with stuff with the third row seat down or load it up with kids when I pull them up. All the features are easy to use. It is very sporty and the interior is comfortable and modern. It rides and runs great. The exterior is so sporty and fun. The Journey gets the same mileage my minivan did and offers all the functionality with a sporty look! I LOVE it!!!"

"I purchased my Journey about a year and a half ago. It started out great until a few months after purchase, and it was in the shop, the power steering went. Since said incident it has been back in the shop two more times for the power steering and several times for minor problems (i.e, dash lifted, power windows stopped working, and also the keyless and auto start doesn't work.) Also, apparently the service decided it inform me that maybe if I purchase different power steering fluid it would stop popping the hose. "Well guess what if Dodge doesn't want to do anything about the unreliability of there vehicle, why should i spend 60 dollars on the fluid." All in all i would not recomend this vehicle, correction i wouldn't recommend a Dodge to anyone."

""I think the Journey is one of the best SUV's on the market in it's price range. I've had my Journey for about 11 months, and I do alot of mixed driving (city/highway),and this vehicle performs well in both.It also has enough power for normal driving. On the inside it's very quiet,no squeak's or rattles. I have the 5 seater SXT model, and there's tons of cargo and passenger room, great for long trips plus up to 24 MPG. I have the chrome package, and people always ask me what kind of vehicle it is based on it's visual appeal. If your in the market give the Journey a test drive.""
