"Bought this SUV two months ago. Needed something that is all wheel drive to get to work in the winter. It has all the features I want, is roomy and the gas mileage is pretty good...approx 26 mpg. It has minimal blind spots for a SUV. I feel safe when driving this vehicle."

"I bought the car and it was 1 yr old and only 9K miles, but saved thousands. I have the 4 cyl eng, so not much passing power, but consistently get 27mpg which I love for this size of a vehicle. We carry 4 and 5 adults very comfortably. The ride is unbelievably smooth and car is solid and very quiet, no road noise. I get great comments with it wherever I go."

"I purchased a used 2010 SXT Journey with 37,000 miles last October. I have put 21,000 miles on it and here are the great things I love about it (not by preference): 1. The price was very reasonable. 2. The ride is smooth and quiet. 3. The exterior styling is classy. 4. The Interior styling i.e. the numerous cupholders; the 2 coolers in rear passenger floorboard; chilled compartment above glove compartment; sliding console, center storage on dash; passenger seat flip-up storage; sliding and fold down rear reclining seats; adjustable head restraints; third row seating; the numerous plugins for cell phone and the laptop plugin. 5. The gas mileage is good. 18/23 6. The acceleration is excellent. No problem passing. 7. Satellite Radio and bluetooth. The things which could be be improved upon are the brake pads and rotors, which I just had replaced locally for a very reasoanable price and the interior should be more upscale to match the exterior, however, I just test drove a 2011 SXT and the interior was more refined. I ordered a wooddash kit for my vehicle which is quite beautiful. I highly reccommend the 2010 Journey SXT."

"First off, I have to tell you that I have been a very satisfied GM owner for over 40 years.. I had been looking to replace my 2006 Buick Rendezvous, but just could not find anything that could match the ride or room that the Buick Produced. I test drove the new Chevrolet Equinox.. but it left me unimpressed. Just for kicks we drove through the local Dodge dealers lot and liked the looks of the 2010 Journey. We took a 30 minute test drive and was sold. The 2010 Dodge Journey was so smooth and QUIET !! We purchased a SXT model with front wheel drive.. it has all the bells and whistles, 19" chrome wheels, Nav, U connect, sunroof, ect. and at a bargin price. Everytime I get into our Journey and back out of the garage, I get a smile on my face. I never thought I would leave GM .. but the Journey did it for me.. If you haven't driven a Dodge/Chrysler product lately, you need to take a look. I'm sure glad I did !!"

"I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, my 2010 Dodge Journey R/T. It is super comfortable, great cup holders, AMAZING storage room, Love the cooler in the dash, I could go on and on about all that I love about this vehicle. The ONLY downside, is that Dodge jumped into bed with Kumho, by using a rim in a size that only Kumho makes & these tires are pretty expensive and almost always unavailable. I've had to replace a tire twice, and the last time, I thought that my brand new vehicle was about to become a glorified lawn ornament. Dodge was un-sympathetic. But thankfully I tapped into a family friend with connections who was able to aqquire one for me. (Though since the vehicle is AWD, I almost wasn't able to get them to replace just the one tire even though it was impossible to find any more than that 1). Very disappointing."

"We got our Journey with 3000 miles on it. R/T, V6 AWD, all options except the DVD Nav/Entertainment and Sunroof. This is my wife's primary vehicle, and is the best Mom-mobile we could have asked for. Performance is peppy for the size, storage is excellent, and mileage is Ok. We average 17-22 depending on conditions. The only two complaints I have, and I have seen others mention are the brakes and the tires. If you are a hard braker, you run a good chance of warping the rotors, and causing a nice shake during future hard braking. The 19" tires on the R/T (optional on lower trims) are a size that is new on the market, and only made by one company. They are currently back ordered all over the country, and very difficult to source, especially with an AWD, when you should replace all four tires at the same time if you have more than 5k miles on the tires. The tires are also currently very expensive due to the supply and demand. I would recommend finding a set of 17" aftermarket rims, or ask your dealership to put the 17" wheels on before purchase. The AWD is awesome in the snow, traction control works perfectly, the "autostick" works perfectly, and the Journey can really handle the turns well!! The optional Lifetime Max Care warranty cannot be beat either. For a decent price, you get 100k coverage that is practically bumper to bumper with no deductible. After 100k, any repair has only a $100 deductible. It covers everything but wear items (brakes, exhaust, tires, rims, etc.) Overall, I would definitely recommend this vehicle to any family looking for a 7 passenger crossover. You won't find more bang for your buck in any other competing vehicle."

"I rented this car for a 2000 mile 1 week trip. It has a strong 3.5L V6 engine and it also has plenty of room for putting stuff away. It also has plenty of cup holders, several charging stations for electronic gadgets, and even 1 AC 110 Volt power inverter built in. You must turn on the switch on the dashboard for the AC outlet to function. Without the manual in a Rental, this was a lucky guess for me to push the ll sign on the dashboard and it started charging my laptop with no issues. It has a very smooth ride and quiet interior. The turning circle is good enough for an SUV but I have driven cars with better turning circles for making U Turns. The issues I had with this vehicle are :- 1- Placement for the parking brake. Odd and kept getting in my way. If you have expensive shoes, your left shoe may get scuffed when you pull your leg away. 2- Cup holder for driver too low. Distracted me while trying to put hot coffee down. 3- With only 7000 miles on the car, this vehicle had warped disk brakes that made the car shake terribly when trying to slow down at higher speeds (Between 65 - 75 miles per hour). I have found this to be common among Dodge and Mitsubishi vehicles. 4- Blind spot for driver's side mirror. I almost stopped at an automotive store to buy a 180 Degree view side mirrow "button" add-on for the external Drivers side mirror. The driver has a major blind spot for vehiles on its left side. 5- Engine knock with 86 or 87 octane fuel. I did not expect a new car to have engine knocking. This can be eliminated with 91 - 93 ocatne gasoline. Unfortunately with the prices of Premuim fuel in California, the car not calling for it specifically, and knowing i will not kill the car for using it only for 7 days, I opted not to do it more than once. I just wanted to make sure that higher octane would eliminate the issue and it did. 6- Sliding driver/passenger common arm rest. The problem I have with this is if you are in the habit of placing you right hand on the sport shifter (Transmission) to rest and you have kids in the back seat that stretch thier legs out and push on the sliding armrest, you can potentially put the car in Nuetral while driving. I had to give my your children a strong warning not to push in the armrest for the driver. With a 5 and 7 year old, it is hard to enforce so I just report it as an issue that you may also run into. My overall assesment is it is a good car to rent, I would not own one. the fuel econmy with my driving habit was an overal 22.9 Miles per gallon. Best I saw was 27.. mostly wind behind me and less uphill driving.. 45 mile / hour on country roads.. and 19 miles per gallon, going uphill /downhill with wind against me."
