"Maybe I am picky. I tend to look outside at my car through the living room window more than I spend driving them. If it does not have any style, why drive the car. We have so much choice in today's world. Oka, I like the curves on this car. But ever since 2000, the stratus has turned into another blob going down the road. Still not excited by the 200. I have had a 1995 2.4, I have a 1999 2.4 w/ 50k and a 1999 V6 w/ 108k miles on it. Both 2.4 needed new head jobs w/ pumps and time belts at 30-40k miles. 1995 held on till it started breaking engine mounts and then killed the transmission. Sold it at 90k with working AC. One thing about buying the same car, you can predict the problems. Fuse on the blower motor is one of things that are just annoying, check engine light always on here. V6 has been a great value since we picked it up with 29k for like $6k. Just now beginning to need stuff upgraded under the hood and will keep this one till it dies. All cars had gobs of power, but lousy mileage for the short runs to school. 18-22-28 Mileage on all of them. Hard to find these models any more, so will have to find a new choice."

"This Car was a very fun car to drive handles great looks great and had a 162HP 2.5L V6 Enough power to get you into trouble but its not about looks its about it geting to point a to point b. I know most of the bad opinions are because people had a bad experience with a car. Heck, I don't like pontiacs anymore due to two the didn't work well with me. The best car I had was a Malibu that I destroyed in a car accident. Try it before you really knock it."

"I've experienced similar problems as the first person who reviewed this car, my car is a 95 stratus ls 2.4 liter it's got 82k original miles on it so far i've completly rebuilt the transmision and had to put a new TCM(Transmion Control Module) on it after the fact, the transmision pan cracked and was leaking out fluid so that had to be replaced, The water pump just went and i also had to put a new timing belt in it luckly i caught it right after it started to wear out also needed a new idler pulley, so in general ive put probably 3k dollars more than this car is worth into it i just went to get an aligment and found out the struts and mounts are shot so now i'm just gonna drive it till it dies."

"This Car was a very fun car to drive handles great looks great and had a 162HP 2.5L V6 Enough power to get you into trouble but its not about looks its about it geting to point a to point b and this car has gave nothing but problems i would wake up for work in the mornings and it wouldnt start later that day it would start and run perfect the transmission went out 3 times in 1 year distributor went out valve cover gasket leaking oil very bad oil pan leaking oil everywhere ac compressor locked up and broke the belt power stering pump and i only had it 2 years finally i gave up because the last thang was the timing belt jump and bent some valves that was costing me 2700 dollars so i sold it if u look at the car inside out the motor i kept up with everythang on it it was always clean you would look at it and thank its a great car but behind the beauty was a no good mitibishi motor. maybe i got one of the bad V6 stratuses but if i found a reliable v6 stratus i would but it in a heartbeat..."
